NY Appeals Court Rules DOMA Unconstitutional
A federal appeals court in Manhattan has struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, the law that defines marriage as only between a man and a woman.
In a 2-1 ruling, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court's ruling that found the law violates equal protections rights.
Judge Chester Straub disagreed with the majority, saying the American people, not judges, should decide if the definition of marriage should be changed... (READ MORE)

President Obama Prepared to Drive Over Fiscal Cliff in Quest for Small Business Tax Hike that Will Destroy 700,000 Jobs
President Obama is threatening to drive the economy off the fiscal cliff if he isn’t given a small business tax hike Ernst & Young says will destroy more than 700,000 American jobs, The Washington Post reported yesterday.

RSC Chairman Jordan: Startling Revelations About the Terrorist Attack in Libya
Two facts stand out from the hearing the House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform held last week on security failures leading up to the attack on our consulate in Libya last month.
1) The State Department was more interested in portraying the situation in Libya as “normal” than in keeping our people in Libya safe. Despite 234 security incidents during the previous 13 months, multiple requests for more resources from officers on the ground were ignored by bureaucrats who had never been to Libya. Eric Nordstrom, the former chief of security for our diplomats in Libya, testified before Congress last week that his appeals were rejected because it was State Department policy to "normalize operations and reduce security resources" in that country...
