America's Path to Progress Survey

It is imperative that political and opinion leaders in Washington understand in no uncertain terms that Americans are keenly aware of this nation's problems with its energy policies and that we expect and deserve better leadership on this issue.

Make sure that your voice is heard and your opinions are counted by taking our energy policy survey. In the months ahead, we will be announcing the results of our survey to the media in Washington, DC , as well as forwarding them on to members of Congress.

Given that so much of our oil comes from the Middle East, do you think that this negatively impacts our country's national security?

Do you believe that Congress should pass legislation promoting renewable and alternative energy sources to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels?

Do you agree or disagree that Congress should pass legislation promoting more fuel efficient cars and trucks to reduce our dependency on oil?

Do you agree or disagree that we are experiencing climate change, such as a gradual increase in the Earth’s average temperature?

Do you agree or disagree that that pollution from burning oil and coal is helping cause the climate to change?

Do you think we can improve our environment and strengthen our economy at the same time by investing in clean, renewable energy technologies that create jobs while reducing polution?

A coalition of ten major U.S. corporations such as Caterpillar and General Electric have joined with several conservation groups such as the National Wildlife Federation to ask Congress to enact laws to curb U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 10-30 percent within the next 15 years.
