U.S. Government Repaying Debt With More Debt
WASHINGTON (AP) - The government will borrow $72 billion in debt auctions next week now that Congress has raised the nation's borrowing limit.
The Treasury Department says it will sell 3-year notes, 10-year notes and 30-year bonds to raise the money. About one-third will go to repay debts that are due on Aug. 15.
President Barack Obama cleared the way for the auction on Tuesday when he signed into a law a bill that raises the debt ceiling and promises more than $2 trillion in cuts to government spending over the next decade...

These Legislators are not
These Legislators are not stupid. They know exactly what they are doing with this county's finances. They think the American people are stupid because we as a group have been apathetic for so long. This is fleecing of America and it is a grievous violation of their duty to safeguard the American Tax Payers' money entrusted to them. This is a criminal offence and should not be overlooked.

When someone is in financial trouble, what do financial advisors suggest? Cut up your credit cards, learn to spend, and live within your means. Or go out, get more credit, spend even more money. Hmmm....it's only common sense... I suppose for some that is! ;)
