Romney to Pro-Lifers: “We Will Uphold the Sanctity of Life”
In an address over the weekend to the Values Voter Summit, presidential candidate Mitt Romney again pledged to promote pro-life values as president should he defeat pro-abortion President Barack Obama.
“We can turn things around. And we can start this November by making a big change at the top. We need a president who shares our commitment to conservative principles and our respect for traditional values,” Romney said in the speech. “We will uphold the sanctity of life, not abandon it or ignore it, and we will defend marriage, not try to redefine it. We need a president who understands that we will not have a strong economy unless we have strong communities and strong families.”
Vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan also addressed the Values Voter Summit and delivered a an address that took Obama to task on abortion...
