ObamaCare eliminating 'laboratories of democracy'
While ObamaCare's individual mandate is a problem, one conservative congressman says another issue is often overlooked.
Congressman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) notes the issue of whether the federal government can force states to expand their Medicaid programs as a precondition for continuing to receive matching federal funds for the program.
"More than 75 years ago, the Supreme Court questioned the constitutional danger of such a scheme, saying that that would take off the limits [of] the federal government and it could become an instrument so that the federal government could subvert the powers reserved to our states," he reports, adding, "That's troubling"...
