The U.S. House is set to take action this week on a bill that would ban federal tax funds for abortion -- permanently.

The No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act (H.R. 3) is sponsored by Congressman Chris Smith (R-New Jersey); it has more than 225 co-sponsors. Voting on the measure is expected to commence this week.
