Who says Libertarians and Social Conservatives cannot find common ground? I had the pleasure of speaking this morning with Greg from Louisville. Greg was a caller to Bill Bennett’s Morning in America program. I was being interviewed by my dear friend, guest host Seth Leibsohn.

I pointed out that the main federal family planning program — Title X — costs us billions. The money does not go directly to fund Planned Parenthood’s killing machine. But it does indirectly fund an outfit that kills 350,000 unborn children every year. That’s nearly the population of Minneapolis. Title X doesn’t fund the killing, only the killers.

Greg claimed to be a “militant” Libertarian (“I’m pro-choice on everything”). He amended that slightly to say, non-violent Libertarian. Then he went on to say that while he supported much of what Planned Parenthood does, he agrees that it should be de-funded.

(CNSNews.com) - Planned Parenthood received $349.6 million in tax dollars in the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2008, and it paid its president, Cecile Richards, $385,163, plus another $11,876 in benefits and deferred compensation.

According to a “fact sheet” published by the organization, Planned Parenthood Affiliate Health Centers performed 324,008 abortions in 2008.

Planned Parenthood’s fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2008 is the latest year for which the organization has publicly released an annual report and published the annual sum of grants and contracts it received from the government...

(CNSNews.com) – In a letter sent to supporters by e-mail on the day after Republicans were swept in as the new majority in the House of Representatives and gained seats in the Senate, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards used the election results to press for an “emergency donation” to help fight against “dangerous politicians who oppose women's health and the right to choose.”

“Even before yesterday's election, women's health was under attack,” Richards wrote in the e-mail, which was sent on Nov. 3. “Anti-choice Republicans like Congressman Mike Pence from Indiana have introduced legislation to defund Planned Parenthood.”

“That's the frightening reality we face, and it's only going to get worse,” Richards wrote...

The president of Planned Parenthood appeared on the Bill Press radio show today with an unconventional way for the government to say money.

By sending more taxpayer dollars to the abortion business to pay for birth control, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards contends the government would save money in the long run because fewer people would be born.

Presumably, Richards believes the more people who are born the more people will need the support of government programs and services — ignoring the contribution people make to society...

The Kansas Supreme court is allowing a 107-count indictment against Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri to go forward.

It is a criminal case that began two district attorneys ago, the latter one being forced to resign amid a sex and abortion corruption scandal. Operation Rescue president Troy Newman is pleased with the final decision, but points out it has been six years since the investigation that led to the charges against the taxpayer-supported abortion provider.

"We're hoping that once and for all, the respectability façade that Planned Parenthood has enjoyed over the years will be stripped from them and that they will be prosecuted for their crimes," says the pro-life leader...

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Nebraska's attorney general will not defend in court a new state law requiring health screenings for women seeking abortions, effectively preventing the controversial law from ever going into effect, according to his spokeswoman and court documents filed Wednesday.

Attorney General Jon Bruning agreed to a permanent federal injunction against enforcement of the law, which faces a challenge from Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, his spokeswoman, Shannon Kingery, said.

"We will not squander the state's resources on a case that has very little probability of winning," she said...
