In January 2008, every public school superintendent in the U.S. was sent a brochure called "Just the Facts about Sexual Orientation and Youth." It was a coordinated effort by 13 organizations – including the American Psychological Association, the American Federation of Teachers, and the National Education Association – to integrate teaching about homosexuality into school curricula. The brochure promotes the idea that all forms of sexual attraction among students (heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual) are normal. Educators are informed that sexual-reorientation therapy can be harmful. It also advises school officials that "gay clubs" should be allowed on campus.

(CNSNews.com) – While the Obama administration is pushing to repeal the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” (DADT) policy regarding homosexuals in the military, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) told CNSNews.com that he wants to hear from military commanders and not from politicians regarding the issue, and added that he will not make a “political decision” to “reward a political movement.”

On Capitol Hill, CNSNews.com asked Sen. Graham, ‘Will officially allowing gays in the military hurt recruitment, in your opinion, or will it help recruitment?”

Graham said, “Well, you know, that’s a question I’d like to hear from our military commanders. A couple of questions about changing the policy, ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ – Is it coming from within the ranks or are the people in the military suggesting it be changed, or is it a political decision?”....

(CNSNews.com) – Two Republican members of the Senate Armed Services Committee told CNSNews.com that the “don’t ask, don’t tell” (DADT) policy concerning homosexuals serving in the military has worked and should not be repealed at this time. Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), however, said that his “intuition” told him that changing the policy would help military recruitment.

Under "don't ask, don't tell" the military does not ask new recruits (as it once did) to certify that they are not homosexual. However, it remains illegal and a cause for separation from the service to engage in homosexual activity while serving in the military.

At the U.S. Capitol last week, CNSNews.com asked Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the ranking member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, “Will officially allowing gays in the military affect recruitment?”

McCain said, “I’m not sure. I do know that the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy has worked very well.

The San Francisco Chronicle has reported "the biggest open secret" in the legal challenge against Proposition 8 is that the judge who is hearing the trial "is himself gay."

The paper reports many gay politicians in the northern California city say Chief District U.S. Judge Vaughn Walker has never taken pains to hide his gay orientation.

Conservatives following the case say Walker has already proven a pro-gay bias. They point out the U.S. Supreme Court struck down his attempt to skirt federal rules by broadcasting the trial.

A black pastor who is challenging the constitutionality of the recently enacted federal "Hate Crimes Act" says he's offended by comparisons to the civil rights struggles of African-Americans with those who engage in homosexual behavior.

Hate CrimePastor Levon Yuille of The Bible Church, outside Detroit, Michigan, joined three other ministry leaders in filing a lawsuit against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. They are concerned, among other things, that under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, those who speak out against homosexuality could be prosecuted.

Yuille tells OneNewsNow that he also finds it insulting to equate the supposed "civil rights" struggle of homosexuals with the real civil rights struggle of African-Americans.

A top executive at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has chaired a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual group.

American Life League (ALL), the largest grassroots Catholic pro-life association in the U.S., previously reported on the Catholic Campaign on Human Development (CCHD), an organization which funds 31 groups that are part of the Center for Community Change. Closer inspection revealed that the latter is a pro-homosexual, pro-abortion effort.

Michael Hichborn, ALL's lead researcher, says he looked deeper into the matter "and found that John Carr, who is the top exec...over the CCHD, chaired the board for the Center for Community Change, this pro-abortion, pro-abortion group."

Hichborn says that as research continued, the relationship between Carr, the USCCB, and the other groups became more entangled...

A federal lawsuit has been filed against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, challenging the constitutionality of the recently enacted federal "Hate Crimes Act."

The lawsuit was filed against Holder by the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) on behalf of three Michigan pastors and the president of the American Family Association of Michigan. Robert Muise, senior trial counsel for the TMLC and the attorney handling the case, tells OneNewsNow this law, attached to a defense authorization bill that the president signed last October, is political payoff.
