Refugee or Infiltrator? Who’s to Say?

The dire humanitarian situations in Syria, Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and elsewhere are of epic proportions but no longer making headline news even though massive numbers of people are continuing to flee brutal, totalitarian regimes. As the world gazes on, it seems obvious what to do to help these helpless people but that would mean the opening of borders. In a different time this would have been the answer but given the nature of today’s enemy, this is definitely not the answer.

O“bomb”a’s explosive legacy… Iran.

While it’s no longer news, it’s still shockingly unbelievable that President Obama and the P5+1 group (United States, United Kingdom, Russia, China, France and Germany), have agreed to a nuclear deal with Iran; the world’s largest supporter and exporter of terror.  Iran currently has a nuclear program in place and, despite denials from the White House, this new deal has opened a pathway for Iran to enrich weapons-grade uranium and be ready with a nuclear bomb in ten years or less. Furthermore, part of the nuclear deal will lift current economic sanctions resulting in a windfall to Iran in excess of one hundred and fifty billion dollars.

Islam boldly infiltrating America at alarming rate.

A brand new, first-of-its-kind Muslim college at Berkeley, California, received its accreditation March 15, 2015 from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.   Zaytuna College has two co-founders.   One, Hamza Yusuf, states that this first Muslim college gives “our community its first accredited academic address in the U.S.  And we hope, God willing, that there will be more such Muslim colleges and universities to come.”

Christian leaders urged to support Prime Minister Netanyahu who supports US

In an interview with Watchman Broadcasting Television network in Augusta, Georgia, international Christian broadcaster and journalist Earl Cox said, “Israel’s Prime Minister is correct to stand up for what is right rather than cowering to those who are more concerned with what they consider political correctness.”  Cox is referring to the invitation extended by U.S. Speaker of the House, John Boehner, to Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu to address a full session of the U.S.

American Support for Israel - A complicated matter?

A retired Army General and former high ranking official in the Obama Administration, recently spoke at a well-known American university. During the questions following his remarks he was asked by a student why “25% of US Foreign Aid goes to Israel.” The General stumbled around and gave no real answer other than “It’s complicated.”

What he did not say was that the premise of the question was wrong to start with because the percentage of US Foreign Aid to Israel is nowhere near 25%.

Israel’s Expertise Comes from Experience Not Rhetoric

There has been a lot of talk in the media about the special friendship between Israel and the United States even though some have said that the lack of movement in the peace process has led to a 'falling out' between our two governments.

Well, I have to say I am never pleased to see disagreements between two friends; especially friends like Israel and America who share so much. We have the same core values, a belief in democracy and freedom, a belief in equality and opportunity, and a belief in standing up to extremism and hatred.

A More Dangerous World

The United States struck a surprising nuclear deal with Iran last week. The agreement commits Iran to halt its nuclear activites for six months in exchange for limited and gradual sanctions relief. U.S. President Barack Obama hailed the deal as putting substantial limitations on the Iranian nuclear program which the U.S. and its allies have feared could lead to nuclear weapons capabilities. He stated, "For the first time in a decade we have halted the progress of the Iranian nuclear program."

What is the truth about Israel?

Support for Israel runs deep in the United States for a number of reasons. According to recent polls as many as 80 percent of American Christians feel a moral obligation to support Israel.  A large part of this is due to the influence of the Bible but there is also an appreciation for Israel’s democratic values as well as empathy with Israel since the same terrorist organizations that want to destroy the Jewish state have also attacked America.

Another value that runs deep in American society is truthfulness, therefore dishonesty is frowned upon.  For this reason many Americans are quite gullible and simply believe what they are told because of the assumption that they are being told the truth.

IS OIL MORE IMPORTANT THAN ISRAEL?

Israel is certainly a dominant focus of world news every day. The Israeli-Arab conflict continues to flare, and the American media are on the spot, along with the rest of the world media. So with the eyes of the whole world daily focused on Israel, why is Israel seemingly not important to America anymore, at least to the Obama Administration?  How can those in the White House talk about Iraq and Iran and Al Qaeda, and say nothing about the unrelenting violence of the Palestinian Arab and Muslim terrorists?

Israel is undoubtedly America's only loyal and faithful ally in the Middle East. Is this very special alliance not important to the President?  It sure seems so and I have to wonder why.
