Heard these terms lately ? Tolerance, Multiculturalism, Diversity, Shared Community, Social Justice, Collective Responsibility, Democratic Society, Non-Inclusive. How about Bigot, Hate Monger, Intolerant ?

 I'm sure if you watch any news you hear all of the above daily, what got me the other day was I heard and read about Sarah Palin inciting violence and intolerance for "targeting" States where Congressional and Senatorial seats where coming up in 2011. HuffPo has turned those targets on her political map into gun sites instead of the "targets" they really are. The left leaning blogs then step up to say Palin is now inciting violence. Or right after Obamacare passed mainstream media came to the aid of the 10 or so democrats that flipped their votes in favor of it as "victims" of threats and vandalism. And that Republican House Minority Whip Eric Cantor and his family were the targets of a death threat for which a Philadelphia man was arrested on Monday. While the media reported the threat against Rep. Cantor, they didn't point out that the suspect, Norman Leboon, claimed on his YouTube website that he is the "Messiah" of "gays and lesbians" and asked his homosexual "children" to leave the armed forces so that he might "smite" those remaining in the services. This is not an insignificant omission. The evidence is mounting that those who are trumpeting the call for tolerance, have little tolerance for those they disagree with. read more »

 I believe the Bible makes it clear that every person is incredibly worthy in God's economy. I think it is capitalism that affords the individual with the best opportunity to realize his or her worth according to God's will.
 In capitalism and/or free enterprise system, every person has the opportunity to become his or her best. Whatever a person inherently is endowed with can become more under capitalism.
 In capitalism, a person can earn his or her own way. While capitalism does not promise equal outcomes (and neither does the Lord), it does offer equal opportunity and with opportunity anything is possible according to the will of God.
With capitalism's emphasis on the individual, a person must rely on self and God in order to have his or her needs met. Socialism sees the state as sovereign. Consequently, a person comes to rely on the state to have his or her needs met and God need never enter the equation.

The Ant and the Grasshopper fable worked well in times past when people were encouraged to succeed.  Alas, the world has drastically changed, especially America since this story was first published, which renders the moral of the original yarn obsolete. Obama's Healthkill Scheme that he plans to push through tomorrow, Saturday, will cost taxpayers $2.5 trillion. Does anyone have any idea of how much ONE trillion dollars would be?

Joe Ambroso, one of the columnists for The Examiner (International web news organization) explains what this means for our out-of-control deficit spending:

"A friend recently gave me a sense of how much a trillion is with an illustration you can also find on various Internet sites. A million seconds, he said, is 12 days, while a billion seconds is 31 years. A trillion seconds? That's 31,688 years. In other words, a trillion is a whole, whole lot, and that's something you might keep in mind when reading that the U.S. deficit for 2009 is now projected at $1.4 trillion, which is a cool trillion more than the deficit in 2008 and the most government spending as a percentage of gross domestic product - 10 percent - since World War II."

Obama, however is going beyond that to spend $2.5 trillion for his healthscare plan.  Where do we get the money? When China runs out, The One will simply print up more money....with absolutely nothing to back it with, paving the way for the total bankruptcy over-throw and collapse of America, which is the Marxist plan, and has been since 1900.

Happy Veterans day from one vet to all others. Special thanks and appreciation go to Tom Purcell, whose column is syndicated by Cagle Cartoons Newspaper Syndicate. In his column published today, he gives a beautiful tribute to veterans.

Purcell, who looks like a better looking Stephen King, is my favorite columnist. He has a great sense of humor with his take on world happenings. He also displays a very deep side with issues that are significant to most of us. His essay today, showing how citizens of America can REALLY support those on active duty in war zones and those who have returned, brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Tom. However, the Marxist liberals have their own take about this day that has been set aside to honor our veterans:

Across the pond, a leftist orginizaton called, Ekklesia which is billed as a 'religious' think tank is so far out in left field that the crows won't even roost there. They support every action and behavior that the Bible condemns. This pastor and Chaplain John Ruffle of London, go back and forth regarding the outrageous content of the Ekklesia Marxists publications.  We are both amazed that this is billed as a "Christian" organization. read more »

As the world knows, Barack Hussein Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize this week...which make it a igNoble-Nobel Prize. Adding to the irony, the founder of the award, Alfred Nobel for whom it was named, was the inventor of....dynamite, which might have blocked Mr. Nobel from being able to receive his own peace recognition. 

However, based upon the reasoning (?) capabilities (!) of the Nobel Committee this week, they would probably justify Mr. Nobel being a recipient since by inventing dynamite, Mr. Nobel could see his invention wipe out the entire population of the earth, and then, without people that might conflict with each other, there would be peace.  Nah...on second thought, that committee obviously could never reason or think that much. read more »

Today the US Supreme Court is hearing arguments regarding a war memorial cross in a remote area of the Mojave Desert due to a complaint of one man who doesn't even live in the area of the "offensive" cross. He lives in Oregon. The first to report the news from the court is Concerned Women of America, and their press release is below.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 /Christian Newswire/-Today the U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments in Salazar vs. Buono, better known as the Mojave Desert Cross case. World War I veterans erected a cross 75 years ago on land that was open range to honor those who had died serving America in the war. In 1994, the Clinton Administration federalized the land. The ACLU sued to remove the cross, which is literally in a desert and difficult to find, on behalf of a former National Park Service worker who lives in Oregon. The case will impact all "religious displays" on federal land.

Wendy Wright, President of Concerned Women for America, stated at a press conference:

It is not enough to contact the blue dog Democrats.  This will only result in a scaled-back bill, which leads us toward socialized medicine a little more incrementally.  Remember, the bills under discussion give huge authority to government bureaucrats to pass regulations.  So even if the "public option" and health care rationing are explicitly in the bill, they will be put into regulations, with the same result.

It is essential that we defeat ANY bill.  The only way to do that is to make it absolutely clear to our representatives that they will be voted out of office if they support it.  There is a good, simple website where we can individually pledge to vote out anyone who does not fight against these bills:  www.PledgeOfLiberty.com  I urge you to take the pledge, and spread the word, and also to write to your representatives.

For the traditional Christian in the contemporary world, things may sometimes appear to be rotten. It all to often feels as though we are losing the war, when it's the battle we should be contending with. For those of us who have been guilty of watching on the sidelines, it's rendered us some what paralyzed in frustration. We were blind sided by 9/11, Bush sounded the alarm, and we were all to willing to surrender a significant slice of individual freedom. With bogus wire taps and illegal confiscations of personal liberty, via the Patriot Act, the attacks became politically lucrative for the 43rd President. I don't subscribe to the whole “ It was an inside job...” theory, but just take a look at the economic hysteria that Bush handed off to Obama, he put the ball right in his hands. I guess the former President was so preoccupied solidifying this hoax, that is the war on terror, that he was powerless to stop the impending economic nose dive. read more »
