A sneak peak at Liberaltopia

Have you ever really thought about what a Liberal Utopia would look like?  Meaning, the way things would look if every impulse liberals ever had about how to order society was suddenly a reality.

Let’s call it “Liberaltopia”.

Income taxes would be unheard of, as nobody would pay them, except the few productive members of society who would happily work and pay their “fair share” of the excessive taxes that would fund Liberaltopia for everyone else.

The fiscal policies would be totally reckless, resulting in tremendous annual deficits despite (or because of) the draconian tax rates, so it would be forced to borrow from more productive countries.  (Sound familiar?)

Newspapers Fired Fatal Shot That Killed Pastor!

(Oakley, California 5/5/11) The area newspapers accomplished their goal. They set out to destroy a Christian pastor and they succeeded. Pastor Jerry Hanoum who founded Mountain View Christian Center in Oakley, died at 8:30 A.M. yesterday morning (5/4/11) in his truck parked in the driveway of his Brentwood home. A fatal gunshot wound to the head took his life. While his death is listed as “an apparent suicide,” further investigations, including an autopsy scheduled for today, will determine that conclusively.

Pastor Hanoum was accused of, and under investigation, for alleged financial improprieties regarding loans and investments made by church members. He was scheduled for a court appearance on May 10th.

The local and area newspapers made the most of the allegations, elaborating on them in three front page stories about his ‘character’ and a perceived past history which was not clearly defined.

Being a writer/journalist, it is fully agreed that the press has a responsibility to report news of interest. This means pure journalism with facts without attacks. The initial stories were sensationlized versions of the facts that should have been reported responsibly. In this case, they were not.

School sends parents permission slips for reciting the Pledge of Allegiance

From the "yes, really" category, we have the recent decision by a public school principal in Brookline, Massachusetts to send parents a form asking them to indicate whether or not their child should participate in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, (which teachers are required to lead, according to state law).

The form tells parents to check either: "Yes, my child will participate in the weekly Pledge of Allegiance", or "No, my child will not participate in the weekly Pledge of Allegiance."  The letter goes on to urge parents to "have a conversation as a family to help your children understand why I will be reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and to support them in feeling comfortable and confident in the decision on whether or not to participate."

So what does this tell us?

In the case of this particular PUBLIC, tax-dollar supported school, it indicates that they are only just now getting around to leading children in the Pledge...despite the fact that it's a state law.  And this principal is doing so in an almost apologetic manner...only once a week...and sending parents a permission slip, letting them know that they can avoid having their child's delicate conscience injured.

Then there's this...

Kids told they can't sing the national anthem at Lincoln Memorial

Here's another entry from the "Are you kidding?" department.

In late June a group of conservative high school students who were visiting the Lincoln Memorial were ordered by a security guard to STOP singing the national anthem.

Yes, really.

Again, this was at the Lincoln Memorial...on the National Mall...in our nation's capital.

The US Park Police admitted that the students were told that they were in violation of some federal law because it demands that the area remain "completely content neutral".  Content neutral?  Again, this was at the Lincoln Memorial...on the National Mall...in our nation's capital.

If free speech is to be celbrated, allowed, or encouraged anywhere, one would expect it would be in what is probably the most high profile public space in our country.  But no.

“They told them to stop singing,” said Evan Gassman, a spokesman for the Young America’s Foundation. “I was taken aback. You wouldn’t expect a display of national patriotism to be censored."  ...

The incident occurred on June 25 as students were taking a monument tour of the nation’s capital. The decision to sing the national anthem at the memorial was a spur of the moment event, according to Shawn Balcomb, of Richmond Hill, GA.

Liberal Whiplash: The Death and Resurrection of the Black Man

Liberal Whiplash: The Death & Resurrection of the Black Man

"There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs - partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose their grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs."
Booker T. Washington (authentic Black man)

I have been gnawing at the bit, enthusiastically and impatiently waiting to write this article. My brows are down and my eye's could blaze a whole through any intrusion that should stand in my way, emphatically writing this long over due bitter pill. Liberal Whiplash: The death & Resurrection of the Black Man, exposes the progressive agenda to drag the African American community from serfdom to martyrdom. For the purpose of commonsensical factual information, I unabashedly use some generalizations, both about the white race and the black race. There are exceptions to the rule, and for the sake of my brothers and sisters of any color, we should pray to make the exception to the rule, the rule of thumb.
