For some strange reason, Germany has maintained Adolph Hitler’s Nazi policy of persecuting families who want to homeschool their children which is a very strong and growing movement in the United States.  And also for some strange reason, the Obama administration  --  but maybe not so strange considering their own overbearing (some say tyrannical) federal polices  --  seems to support Germany’s tyrannical oppression of families who homeschool in that nation. 

This is evidenced by the fact that the Obama administration is working overtime to deport German refugees, Uwe and Hannelore Romeike and their 6 children, evangelical Christians who are homeschooling their children in Tennessee.  The tyrannical German government is demanding that the United States deport the Romeike family  --   who paid stiff fines when they lived in Germany because they refused to stop homeschooling their children  --  so that they can face probable stiff jail sentences along with their children being shipped off to orphanages.   Two years after they began homeschooling their children in 2006, the Romeikes faced Gestapo-like visits from the German police who were tasked to force the Romeike children to attend public schools.

Left-wing judicial activism is running amuck in Obamaland.  Nothing illustrates this more than the decision by a left-wing activist judge in New Hampshire who forced a girl home-schooled by her mother into the public school system.   

In the top story on the front page of "The Washington Times" on September 4th, it was reported that New Hampshire District Judge Lucinda V. Sadler dictated to the mother of a 10-year-old home-schooled girl that her daughter was to attend public schools because of the "rigidity" of the mother's religious views.   The New Hampshire judicial tyrant in her ruling said that the little girl needed to consider other worldviews as she matures.

WorldNetDaily broke the story today 3-12-09; The situation is a judge Ned Mangum has ruled Venessa Mills' children must go to a Government public school. Mangum conceded he was putting his judgment in place of the mother's.

Adam Cothes, a spokesman for the mother, said the children routinely had been testing at up to two years above their grade level, were involved in swim team and other activities and events outside their home and had taken leadership roles in history club events.

The judge, when contacted by WND, explained his goal in ordering the children to register and attend a public school was to make sure they have a "more well-rounded education." Court order says, "The children have thrived in homeschool for the past four years, but need the broader focus and socialization available to them in public school."
