While it’s no longer news, it’s still shockingly unbelievable that President Obama and the P5+1 group (United States, United Kingdom, Russia, China, France and Germany), have agreed to a nuclear deal with Iran; the world’s largest supporter and exporter of terror. Iran currently has a nuclear program in place and, despite denials from the White House, this new deal has opened a pathway for Iran to enrich weapons-grade uranium and be ready with a nuclear bomb in ten years or less. Furthermore, part of the nuclear deal will lift current economic sanctions resulting in a windfall to Iran in excess of one hundred and fifty billion dollars.
A retired Army General and former high ranking official in the Obama Administration, recently spoke at a well-known American university. During the questions following his remarks he was asked by a student why “25% of US Foreign Aid goes to Israel.” The General stumbled around and gave no real answer other than “It’s complicated.”
What he did not say was that the premise of the question was wrong to start with because the percentage of US Foreign Aid to Israel is nowhere near 25%.
There has been a lot of talk in the media about the special friendship between Israel and the United States even though some have said that the lack of movement in the peace process has led to a 'falling out' between our two governments.
Well, I have to say I am never pleased to see disagreements between two friends; especially friends like Israel and America who share so much. We have the same core values, a belief in democracy and freedom, a belief in equality and opportunity, and a belief in standing up to extremism and hatred.
A study of true American history will enlightened the reader to a direct correlation to Israel based on what America’s Founding Fathers faced when fleeing the tyranny of King George III as they sought a new life in what would become these “United States of America.”
The Western world has gotten a glimpse into the content of children’s television programs produced by the Palestinians and we have been shocked and appalled at what we have seen. Each day Palestinian children are stuffed full of hate by a counterfeit Mickey Mouse who calls on children to hate Jews and to kill them wherever they are found. Palestinian children’s storybooks as well as text books are filled with the same anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-Western venomous propaganda. Before it is too late we must consider the implications of this brainwashing and ask ourselves a very tough question, “What sort of adults will these children become who have been fed a steady diet of hate?”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it accurately recently in an American TV interview. He said that the world holds Israel to a "triple standard." Not a double standard, but a triple standard. He explained that there is one standard for the world's dictatorships, a second standard for the world's democracies, and a third standard for Israel.
