The polls are in on the publics response to Obama's first State of the Union speech, and the numbers pretty much speak for themselves.

According to the latest Gallup poll, Obama's job approval is still under the half-way mark, at 48%.  Via LifeNews:

In the three days following the speech, Gallup shows Obama with a 48
percent approval and 46 percent disapproval rating -- unchanged from
before the address.

Philip Klein, a writer at the conservative magazine American Spectator gives
his insight on the poll.

"Going into President Obama's first State of the Union speech,
Gallup noted that annual speeches to Congress rarely affect presidential
approval ratings (in large part because the audience tends to be skewed
toward those who already support him). It turns out that despite his
oratorical skills, our current president is not different in this
respect from his predecessors," he writes. ...

There once was a time, when a man knew his place, he was to work hard for his family, protect his wife and children with his life, if that meant he would have to trade in his mortality, done. The woman knew her place as well, she was to nurture her children, and make the home a place where a man could rest after dealing with the cruel cynical world and know that no matter how daunting it could be, he was loved. Of course there was more to it than that, but the structure was simple and defined. Families trusted in the lord above, as our founders did, and they overcame.

Under the care of a God, and guided by the words of the Holy Bible, these men would go on to create a country that was second to none, America. Our founders were not inspired by Allah, Buddha, or some humanistic higher power, they were moved by the Lord, Jesus Christ. There are a good number of new polls out in the past few days that are full of bad news for the White House and the Democrat leadership.

When it comes to the President, the latest numbers from Rasmussen have his job approval at its lowest ever - just 46% - and a fifteen point negative spread when it comes to those who feel "strongly" about him one way or the other, (26% strongly approve, 41% strongly disapprove).

And for those who don't like Rasmussen and would prefer to poll shop, they should note that Gallup and Quinnipiac have Obama's numbers below the 50% mark as well.

Byron York points out that Gallup's numbers have some interesting "firsts"...

It's the first time Obama is under the 50% mark with every age group except 18-29.  It's the first time Obama's support among white voters has fallen below 40% (currently 39%).  It's the first time he's been below 50% with every income group except those who make less than $2,000 per month.

On this day  --  exactly three years from the day on which Sarah Palin or Mike Huckabee or Tim Pawlenty or some other Reaganite Republican will probably be elected president  --  many Americans were shocked (but not Reaganites,) that Barack Obama's unemployment rate has now reached a massive 10.2% of the American people unemployed.   

Yet, Obama and his acolytes were promising (and threatening) Blue Dog Democrats that if they did not vote for Obama's  TRILLION dollar (with interest) so-called stimulus bill, the unemployment rate would go above 8%.  So many of the Blue Dog Democrats and other Democrats occupying the 80-plus congressional seats won by President George W. Bush or by Senator John McCain were intimidated and actually voted for the Obama stimulus bill last February.   

And what do they have to show for their vote?  Massive unemployment and some additional 3 million Americans who have lost their jobs since the passage of the Obama stimulus bill.  This week, to make fiscal matters worse, the Democrats in the United States Senate even voted to extend the unemployment benefits of $300 each week for a total of 99 weeks (almost 2 years) to further increase the gargantuan national debt, now approaching $12 TRILLION dollars.  

A video has surfaced of a group of kids at B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ being instructed in what to sing to Obama for a visit to the school.

It turns out, the video was removed from YouTube after it went up...but some enterprising conservative out there had already made a copy, so it's back up and part of the "permanent record", so to speak.

It is, shall we say, "creepy".  View it for yourself.

Incredible. And why should kids be made to be thankful that they're "equal in his sight"?

Can you say "cult of personality"?  I knew you could.

Is the Democrat Party getting ready to surrender yet another American ally to our enemies?  There are signs that this could be the case.  In today's "The Washington Times," a front-page story has the headline:  "Will Army brass get day in Congress?"  The article says that the Republicans in Congress are eager to help Obama's generals in the Pentagon receive a troop surge in Afghanistan which the generals need to successfully win the war.   

The question of the year is, will the president listen to his generals and give them the extra troops needed for victory in Afghanistan?  Obama's hero, Republican President Abraham Lincoln, listened to his generals, especially Ulysses S. Grant, and won the Civil War.   

Considering the track record of the anti-war majority faction in the Democrat Party, victory against our enemies in Afghanistan does not look promising.  The anti-war Democrat majority in the early 1970's forced a surrender to America's communist enemies in South Vietnam.  This same anti-war faction almost caused America to surrender in Iraq just a few years ago, but President George W. Bush listened to his generals and gave them the troop "surge" they requested and the war in Iraq has been won.

Obama's First Six Months' Accomplishments

1. Offended the Queen of England.

2. Bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia.

3. Praised the Marxist Daniel Ortega.

4. Kissed Socialist Hugo Chavez on the cheek.

5. Endorsed the Socialist Evo Morales of Bolivia.

6. Sided with Hugo Chavez and Communist Fidel Castro against Honduras.

7. Announced we would meet with Iranians with no pre-conditions while they're building their nuclear weapons.

8. Gave away billions to AIG also without pre-conditions.

9. Expanded the bailouts.

10. Insulted everyone who has ever loved a Special Olympian.

11. Doubled our national debt.

12. Announced the termination of our new missile defense system the day after North Korea launched an ICBM.

13. Released information on U.S. Intelligence gathering despite urgings of his own CIA director and the prior four CIA directors.

14. Accepted without comment that five of his cabinet members cheated on their taxes and two other nominees withdrew after they couldn't take the heat.

15. Appointed a Homeland Security Chief who identified military veterans and abortion opponents as "dangers to the nation."

16. Ordered that the word "terrorism" no longer be used and instead refers to such acts as "man made disasters."

17. Circled the globe to publicly apologize for America 's world leadership.

Why do I oppose Obama?

1. As a Christian, I am distressed by Mr. Obama's dedication toward championing abortion, at any term! Mr. Obama refused to sign a bill that would give medical assistance to babies who survived botched abortions, without this bill they simply suffered until they expired. I believe, when people engage in sex, they should understand the risk, STD's and pregnancy to name a couple. You are not forced to have sex, and abortion should not be a convenient birth control method.

2. As a fairly logical and informed American, I understand that terrorist do not want to be friends, they despise our culture and more importantly their countries are in such turmoil, they need a common enemy to bond them. Mr. Obama has done many things to appease them, and they only see that as weakness, and thus still attack us. Due to the President's newly adopted rules of engagement, soldiers are dying out there, and that is heartbreaking.

President Obama's use of the title CZAR is distasteful and is reminiscent of slavery and our freedom is at risk.

I know I am not the first person to raise an eyebrow over the excessive amount of times I have heard President Obama referring to "new and prospective" committee leaders the title of CZAR! It is quite a topic on all talk radio and TV shows. The title CZAR should be banned from use in any of our government agencies. Its meaning according to Webster is, "One with absolute power and authority." It is derived from a Russian term "tzcar" and from Caesar "Czar". This is revolting and a threat to our freedom to say the least. Did Mr. Obama skip World History 101?

The jig is up, if only President Obama were white; then the opposition would willingly give in to the demands of the single most left wing fringe administration in recent history. All those pesky liberty loving Americans would fall in line, and blindly support the fundamental destruction of their beautiful homeland. Immigrants from former communist states would finally stop warning us of our impending doom. Yes, if only our young President were white, the once great nation of limited government and prosperity would voluntarily succumb to a Wall Street takeover, fat cat lobbyist and special interest groups writing policy, massive government interferences in the private sector, and massive government interference in our homes.
