The Christian Coalition of America supports the effort of Texas Governor Rick Perry, who has called for a mass prayer meeting on August 6 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas from all 50 states to join him.
Governor Perry understands the true nature of America’s growing crisis with regard to the national debt, the budget deficit, terrorism, natural disasters, moral decline, and the growing problem of secular fundamentalism. He acknowledges that the nation is in the midst of a crisis of epic proportion and needs divine assistance to weather this perfect storm.
In light of strident atheist protests and the rage of aggressive secular activists, Governor Perry is to be commended for his courage to stand strong as men of faith have since the founding of America.
President since George Washington to George W. Bush and governors, too many to count, have, upon their knees besieged the Throne of Grace to find comfort in crisis and answers to grave dangers. Case in point, Franklin D. Roosevelt issued a call to the whole nation about the D-Day invasion.

Last night, when I spoke to you about the fall of Rome, I knew at that moment the troops of the United States and our allies were crossing the Channel in another and greater operation. It has come to pass with success thus far.
