DEMOCRATS DEFY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND EXPAND ABORTION

Christian Coalition of America President Roberta Combs released the following statement concerning House passage of the Senate's version of health care reform:

"Yesterday, we saw the ugly spectacle of representative government being abused in order to defy the will of the American people to satisfy the aims of the radical left. It was made more despicable by the fact that the Democrat majority, including supposed pro-life Democrats, just passed the largest expansion of abortion in American history since Roe vs. Wade", Combs stated.

"The simple fact is that the executive order from President Obama concerning abortion funding isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Just like any other executive order, it can be changed on a moment's notice. Further, it is a fig leaf too small to disguise the fact that the pro-abortion Senate bill will be signed into law and, as anyone who has ever taken a civics class knows, a law trumps an executive order every day of the week."

"Democrats reneged on their promise not to allow health care reform to expand abortion in America", Combs stated. "We are committed to do everything we can to remind voters of these facts before they go to the polls this November."
