Washington, D.C. - Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi -- who obviously is ignoring the severe rebuke voters gave those in the Democrat-controlled Congress during Tuesday's election and thousands of Americans who visited Members of Congress yesterday -- has scheduled a vote this weekend on a government-control health care bill. H.R. 3962, which will take control of 1/6 of the American economy. The Democrats intend to do this after only a few hours debate on the floor of the United States House of Representatives.

Roberta Combs, the president of the Christian Coalition of America said regarding this Saturday's vote: "In an abominable and arrogant move to force Americans to pay for abortions with their hard-earned tax dollars, Speaker Pelosi and the Democrat leadership has refused to allow a vote on an amendment introduced by Democrat Congressman Bart Stupak from Michigan which prohibits abortion from being funded except to save the life of the mother and in the cases of rape and incest. The Democrats are doing this, in spite of the fact that around 75% of the American people do not want to fund abortions with their taxes."

Christian Coalition of America will be scoring the parliamentary procedure vote, called the "Rule", which must be voted on in order to bring Pelosi/ObamaCare to the floor of the House of Representatives. The vote on the "Rule" could be as early as Friday evening or on Saturday.

Any Congressman who votes FOR Speaker Pelosi's "Rule," which does not allow a vote on the pro-life Stupak Amendment, will be given a negative vote in Christian Coalition of America's (CCA) 2009-2010 Congressional Scorecard. Any House Member voting FOR the Pelosi Rule, is voting to establish a government insurance scheme, called the "public option" or "government option," which explicitly authorizes to pay for all elective abortions.

Additionally, any Congressman who votes FOR final passage of Pelosi/ObamaCare, H.R. 3962, which has phony substitute language for the Stupak Amendment -- called the "Ellsworth-Waxman-Pelosi" language -- will receive an additional negative vote in CCA's 2009/2010 Congressional Scorecard.
