Christian Coalition of America Pastor's Council

The Christian Coalition Pastor's Council is calling pastors nationwide to bond together in a mighty witness for Jesus Christ in the redemption of America.

A serious crisis of cataclysmic proportion has erupted in our country. The nation is experiencing the beginning of a terrible tail spin. The evidence is manifested in the collapse of our culture, the serious erosion of our economy, a growing lack of interest in traditional religion, and the government's assault on all freedoms, especially religious freedom.

We are in a battle with dark forces. We must not lose this fight. If Religious Freedom is taken from us, all other freedoms will fold. I sincerely believe that the outcome of this crucial battle depends upon pastors. God called us to be watchmen upon the walls. We must rise up, take the spiritual weapons provided in God's Word, and charge the gates of hell.

There must be a vehicle to give identity to this massive movement. The Pastor's Council is providing the spiritual covering for this spiritual awakening. We must join together as the pastors did in early colonial America and call for an end to a growing tyrannical government control. Whitefield and Wesley are no longer with us, but God's hand is as able as ever in raising up contemporary pastors with courage and heart to inspire godly citizens to rally together as one and say "No" to despotic edicts from radical politicians.

The window of opportunity is open to such a spirit of revival, but it is closing ever so surely. We must speak up now while we have a chance to win. The time has come for decisive action!

Please join me in this great endeavor. We can and we must stir this "sleeping giant," and save our freedom to preach without the interference of a spying bureaucrat.

As pastors we may feel limited and fail to appreciate our ability to affect national policy. Perish that thought. Small branches feed rivers and rivers, oceans. May I remind you that headwater branches finally result in massive waters that float ships and make electricity. Together with God we can move mountains!

Please join with me... Glory be to God only!

WHAT IS TRUTH?

During his trial before Roman authorities, Jesus was asked by Pilate, "You are a king then?" Jesus replied, "You say that I'm a king, I was born for this, and I have come into the world for this: to testify TO THE TRUTH. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice." Pilate responded, "What is truth?

Pilate stood close to the truth, was bothered by it, but never embraced it. Jesus was THE TRUTH. His Word is the standard for determining truth. Pilate turned from the truth and in doing so models modern politicians who like Pilot stand before God completely oblivious of it.

Truth for Washington, D.C. politicians is whatever they say it is. With no true moral compass their "situational ethics" needle trembles indecisively. Truth for political leaders with no moral standard can rationalize any atrocity they choose to perpetrate. They pitch lies no matter how flagrant or transparently ridiculous and flaunt it as the truth.

I have debated liberal national religious leaders on the stage of private colleges and state universities. They universally use the same old tired ploy of wrapping their warped agenda in the cloak of social justice, poverty, and peace. That cloak is becoming thread-bare. People are beginning to see through their thinly veiled hypocrisy.  read more »

The Iron Heel

Perhaps you have read Jack London's Call of the Wild and White Fang.  Only recently did I read his 1908 publication, The Iron Heel.  I found it amazingly contemporary.  Jack London, a passionate Socialist, wrote about a developing fascist society.

In his fictional account he describes how the U. S. Government, as he saw it,  in his day, was dominated by an Oligarchy which he labeled, The Iron Heel.  His analogy of a few powerful people, an Oligarchy, seems to fit the present Obama Administration whose iron heel is poised to aggressively crush any sign of opposition.   read more »

Aesop Hits Health Care Hypocrites

President Obama and the Democrats in the U.S. Congress have proposed a national health care program which they claim is the very best solution for all Americans. These deceptive and disingenuous legislators have spent enormous amounts of time and money extolling the virtues of their national plan.

Dr. John Fleming, Congressman from the Fourth District in Louisiana, has challenged their good faith. He has introduced HR 615, which mandates that all congressmen who vote for their national health plan are required to use it themselves. While 43 Republicans have joined Dr. Fleming in support of the bill, not a single Democrat is willing to sign up for what they claim is the panacea for all Americans.  read more »

The Need for a Nationwide Grassroots Pastor's Council

Dear Pastor:

There is good reason why we need a nationwide grassroots Pastor's Council. This is a way for us to speak and act in concert. We have associations, denominations, and conventions, but they are not organized primarily for public activism in behalf of our government. The Bible speaks of our duty to obey the rules of our government. We can do that best if we have been actively engaged in helping to make those rules. Our Republic allows us the privilege of making just laws. We can be "nice and reverent" stay in our pews and concede our right to make law to immoral and corrupt politicians. Such unconcern would betray our ministry.

Pastors, called by God, cannot entertain the idea of ungodly leaders having control over our church members. But that can happen and it may be sooner than you think if we are unwilling to step outside our comfort zones and demand godly leaders and righteous law.  read more »

IRS finally gets it right on religious rights

In a rare move, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) correctly ruled that ministers and pastors do not risk losing their tax-exempt status for engaging in political acts on behalf of issues such as traditional-values advocacy according to yesterday's "The Washington Times." That is good news for those who believe in constitutionally-guaranteed religious rights in America.

The IRS sent a letter to a group called the Niemoller Foundation which, like churches, is a 501(c)(3) organization according to the IRS code, saying that it did not violate its non-profit status by gathering together pastors for a series of public policy conferences. A left-wing group called the Texas Freedom Network had filed a complaint against the Nielmoller Foundation with the IRS. At these conferences, prominent elected officials and others urged these pastors to register their congregations to vote. The IRS in their letter found "no evidence of political intervention."  read more »

Many analysts say Conyer's "Hate Crimes" bill doomed to fail

Last week, Congressman Barney Frank, liberal Democrat from Massachusetts, put out a press release saying that the so-called "Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Act of 2009," H.R. 1913, of which he is an original co-sponsor, is expected to pass the House Judiciary Committee, populated by a majority of left-wing Democrats.  Frank --  in his press release  --  said that H.R. 1913 will most likely be on the House floor for a vote later this spring.  The legislation was introduced into the House of Representatives on April 2 by the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman John Conyers (D-MI.)

Top military officers say: "Keep law banning homosexuals"

With increasing buzz from the Obama administration and from the Democrat-controlled Congress about overturning Bill Clinton's interpretation of the 1993 law banning open homosexuals from serving in the military, over 1,000 military officers, including top flag rank officers, are urging President Barack Obama and the Congress to maintain the law that bars homosexuals from serving openly in the armed forces.

President Clinton, as one of his first acts as president, tried to overturn the law banning open homosexuals from serving in the military. After one of the largest grass-roots uproars of all time, the Democrat-controlled Congress in 1993 passed a law reaffirming the long-held view that open homosexuals should not serve in the military.  read more »

Non-embryonic stem cell research continues to advance

Pro-abortion forces and supporters of human embryonic stem cell research continue to be caught in a time warp. Even though politicians continue to seek taxpayer funding for the immoral destruction of human embryonic stem cells in research, such research has had no success in curing diseases.

California Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger even persauded his state legislation to spend $3 billion of taxpayer funding to waste on such research. Ironically, such bloated and wasteful spending has caused California to have the worst bond rating in the nation and is now on the brink of bankruptcy with California taxpayers fleeing the state for Arizona, Nevada and other states.  read more »

Pope Benedict XVI Reminds Speaker Pelosi of the Sanctity of Life

It was wonderful to hear that Pope Benedict XVI told Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who claims to be a devout Catholic, that Catholic elected officials have a special duty to protect human life "at all stages of its development." After the House passed the stimulus bill, the Speaker and a number of other Democrat officials flew to Rome and Paris. The Pope granted her and her husband a private 15 minute meeting in a small room off the Vatican auditorium after his weekly public audience.

The Speaker, in a press release, spun the meeting as one of all harmony and "great joy." However, the Vatican, which did not issue a photograph of the meeting so as to not allow her to use such a photo in public relation opportunities -- said that the Pope spoke of the church's teaching "on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death."  read more »

The Right NOT To Kill?

The Right NOT to kill?

Will Barack Obama turn America into an even more brutal killing field than it already is?  Will physicians and nurses and other hospital personnel be allowed to NOT kill unborn babies in an Obama administration?  These are questions which come to mind as the administration of President George W. Bush offiicially released the final rules to protect the freedom of medical providers; albeit very very late in his administration.  read more »
