269 Members of the House of Representatives and 58 Senators vote NO to Obama’s Iran Nuclear Deal (including 29 Democrats!)

An overwhelming majority of the 433 Members of the House of Representatives, i.e. 269 Representatives  --  including 25 Democrats  --   voted no to the Democrats’ resolution supporting the president’s Iran nuclear deal.   And 58 Senators in the United States Senate effectively voted NO to the president’s Iran deal on Thursday; effectively because it was a vote to break the Democrats’ filibuster of the Republicans Resolution of Disapproval of the president’s Iran nuclear deal.  The Democrats do not want the American people to see how they would actually vote on the actual disastrous Iran nuclear deal!

The key vote on the floor of the House of Representatives yesterday was H. Res 411, Roll Call Vote #492, a resolution finding that the president has not complied with section 2 of the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015 and has not sent to Congress the details of the secret agreements with Iran and is therefore breaking the law.  The Republican resolution passed by a party-line vote of 245-186

The first vote on the floor of the House of Representatives today was on the Democrat resolution, H.R.3461, Roll Call Vote #493, to express approval of the president’s surrender to Iran on their nuclear program. The resolution sponsored by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and her House Democrats lost overwhelmingly: 269 to 162!

The 2nd vote today was the Republican resolution, H.R. 3460, Roll Call Vote #494, on the president’s Iran deal  --  which was the FINAL vote in the series of 4 votes, spread out over Thursday and Friday --  to suspend until January 21, 2017 (when the next president of the United States is sworn into office) “the authority of the President to waive, suspend, reduce, provide relief from, or otherwise limit the application of sanctions pursuant to an agreement related to the nuclear program of Iran.”  This Republican Resolution was approved 247-186.  ALL Republicans in the Hou se of Representatives voted for this resolution and 2 Democrat Representatives courageously voted for this Republican resolution:  Congresswoman Gwen Graham from Florida and Congressman Juan Vargas from California.

ALL of the Republicans in the House of Representatives did NOT vote for the Democrats’ resolution approving the president’s Iran nuclear weapons deal; however, one of them, Congressman Thomas Massie, R-KY, did vote “Present” for unknown reasons (so far). Congressman Hank Johnson, D-GA, was THE only Member out of the 433 current Members of the House of Representatives who did not vote at all on the Democrat resolution, Roll Call #493!   However, in this vote, a surprisingly large number of Democrats, 25 Democrat Representatives, voted to buck their president and voted NO with the Republicans to disapprove of the president’s surrender to Iran deal.

In the United States Senate, out of the caucus of 44 Democrats and 2 liberal Independents who voted on Thursday during the vote to end the Democrat filibuster of the Republican Disapproval Resolution of Obama’s Iran nuclear deal. 4 Senators voted with ALL of the Republican Senators to end the Democrat filibuster.

Therefore, as was the case with ObamaCare, NOT ONE Republican, in either the House of Representatives or in the Senate, voted for the president’s surrender to the Islamic State of Iran deal.

Speaker Boehner Welcomes Christian Leaders Opposed to the Iran Deal

“This Iran deal is bad for Israel and bad for America,” Speaker Boehner said.  “Everywhere I’ve gone the last six weeks, the issue I heard most about was the President’s terrible plan for allowing Iran to develop nuclear weapons.  I want to thank the leaders of ACLI for coming together for this unprecedented effort.  They are working hard to alert their fellow Americans about this bad deal and the danger it poses to our allies in the Jewish state of Israel.”

Christian Coalition of America Organized Meeting with Senator Lindsey Graham for Christian Leaders Supporting Israel to Express Opposition to the President’s Iran Nuclear Weapons Deal

Coach Mike Gottfried; Earl Cox, Founder, Israel Always;
Roberta Combs, President of Christian Coalition of America; Senator Lindsey Graham, R-SC; Susan Michael, U.S. Director, International Christian Embassy, Jerusalem; Linda Smith, VP and COO of National Religious Broadcasters; Jim Backlin, Christian Coalition of America; Michele Combs, Founder and Chairman, Young Conservatives for Energy Reform

Christian Coalition of America this week organized a meeting on Capitol Hill with Senator Lindsey Graham, R-SC, for leaders of the group American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI) in his office on Wednesday.

Participants included Christian Coalition of America’s president, Roberta Combs.  They met with Senator Graham to discuss their views about President Obama’s Iran nuclear weapons agreement.  Mrs. Combs expressed the group’s strong opposition to the president nuclear weapons agreement with Iran and the lifting of sanctions to Iran.   She also thanked him for his intention to lead the opposition to the president’s agreement with Iran in the United States Senate.

The meeting occurred the day before the historic vote in the Senate to end the Democrats’ filibuster of the Republican Resolution of Disapproval of the president’s Iran nuclear weapons deal.  Senator Graham voted on Thursday to end the Democrats’ filibuster with 57 other Senators including 4 Democrats.

Senator Graham told the group that Obama’s deal with the Islamic State of Iran is very dangerous for the state of Israel because his deal will threaten the very existence of Israel.  The disastrous deal will also will ensure that Iran will get nuclear weapons and the missiles to deliver these nuclear weapons not only to Israel but to the United States of America.  Obama’s deal gives these Iranian supporters of terrorists the money to accomplish their destructive goals.

He told the leaders of ACLI that he will lead opposition in the Senate to the nuclear arms deal with Iran.  He said that he had no problem with a government spending shutdown to prevent the president from ending sanctions with Iran (in effect, giving Iran some $100 billion so they can aid Islamic terrorists all over the world.
