Democrat Congressman Bart Stupak: A Persevering Hero

There was a wonderful and poignant picture of pro-life champion, Congressman Bart Stupak, Democrat from Michigan, in Sunday's "The Washington Times," a photo taken above the congressman from a balcony in the U.S. Capitol Building - which shows him walking all by himself, looking like all the problems of the world were on his shoulders. The photo was so symbolic of Congressman Stupak's lonely, gallant, courageous and finally, successful fight to protect generations of America's unborn children from death.

Radical "Reform" Passes by TWO Votes

This past Saturday, Nancy Pelosi and the liberal leadership in the House of Representatives pushed through one of the most radical pieces of legislation in our nation's history by a margin of TWO votes.

They twisted arms and bought votes with your tax-dollars.

They even pretended to agree with having pro-life provisions in the bill - only to have pro-choice Democrats go on record after the bill passed saying that pro-life language must be deleted from the final bill.

No General Casey, 12 of Your Dead Soldiers Trumps "Diversity"

Unfortunately, in recent decades, many of the Army officers promoted to the top general ranks have been politically-correct bureaucrats dedicated more to "diversity" and other politically-correct clap trap rather than being dedicated to the military personnel they command. If any more proof is required, the remarks by the Army's top general, Chief of Staff George Casey, following the Islamic terrorist's slaughter of 13 innocent human beings at Ft. Hood last week is all the proof that is needed.

General Casey said on NBC's "Meet the Press" last Sunday -- after 12 of his soldiers and an Army civilian were slaughtered by Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a devout Muslim, along with another 30 or so wounded, with 8 still in intensive care -- "Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that's worse."

"Grateful to 'Gorby'" But Not to Reagan

Monday marked the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. As one would expect, the left-wing "mainstream" or "elite" news media got it wrong. Indeed, the account sent around the world by the Associated Press, made no mention at all of the key individual who made it all possible: President Ronald Reagan with his "peace through strength" massive military build-up including his Strategic Defense Initiative (missile defense program.)

This was the headline from the Associated Press' account written by a Kirsten Grieshaber, of the events on Monday in Berlin, Germany, celebrating the fall of the Berlin Wall: "Grateful to 'Gorby'"; Germans, world leaders remember fall of the wall." The AP reporter all throughout her account slobbers all over how the former communist dictator, Mikhail Gorbachev -- ruler of the country which murdered countless millions of innocent civilians during the communist empire's 70-year-plus long reign -- was the hero of Monday's 20th year celebration... It's Time to Let a Little Sunshine In

For years, Congressman Pete Sessions, Republican from Texas, and Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the conservative House Republican Study Committee have been trying to let a little sunshine into the congressional committee proceedings in the United States House of Representatives.

One would think that after campaign promises from both the president and the speaker of the house that the Democrats would conduct the most open and honest White House and House of Representatives in history; that the Democrats would not be fighting the transparency which would be gained by the passage of House Resolution (H.Res. 874.)
