California Tax Revolt - Part 2

The voters in California on Tuesday severely rebuked the big-spending, big-taxing Republican Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzennegger. They overwhelmingly rejected, by a 2-1 margin, Governor Schwarzennegger's proposed tax increases and budget proposals which were supposed to meet his gargantuan $21.3 billion budget gap. And this was the governor who was elected to change things after the voters recalled his Democrat predecessor a few years ago because of the Democrat's big-spending, big-taxing ways.

California, in recent years, has rarely given the rest of us in America anything which was good for the nation. Considering that 33 states have either raised taxes to eliminate budget deficits or are trying to do so, the voters of California -- as they did with their earth-shaking Proposition 13 vote in 1978 -- have fired a shot across the bow of state legislatures and governors, and indeed, the Democrat-controlled Congress and President Barack Obama... Obama administration bans Bible verses in the Pentagon's reports

One of the major prayer ministries in Washington D.C., the 15-year-old Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) reported yesterday in their daily newsletter that the Pentagon on Monday said that it would no longer include a Bible quote on the cover page of daily intelligence briefings which it sends to the White House as was the practice during President George W. Bush's administration.

In its prayer which the CHPP published regarding this news coming out of the Obama White House it asked God's forgiveness for "the rebelliousness of our nation to go against You! We pray that You will quickly remove those who are burdening our nation with laws against You and replace them with righteous people".

Our nation has for years been rejecting God, with the pace of America's rejection of God being accelerated with infamous decisions by the United States Supreme Court... (Read More)

Say "NO" to funding of embryonic stem cell research

Last March, President Barack Obama issued an executive order that will allow virtually unrestricted federal funding of embryonic stem cell research. Funding that will create incentives for scientists to create new human embryos specifically to destroy them for research.

Former President Bush set a policy in place in 2001 that restricted federal funding only to stem cell lines that existed as of that date - thus discouraging "create and kill" behavior.

Obama's proposed new policy would eliminate that restriction.

The National Institute for Health has posted draft guidelines to implement Obama's new policy, but these guidelines are subject to a thirty day public comment period, which expires on May 26th... (Read More)

Obama's relentless pressure on Israel to stop building new settlements

Barack Obama recently met with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, on his visit to America and was pressuring the Israeli leader to stop building settlements in Israel. America's foreign policy establishment continues to harass the only legitimate democracy in the Middle East and to endanger the security of this tiny country nestled amongst hoardes of vipers.

As one of the speakers during a Support Israel Rally at a recent Christian Coalition of America Road to Victory Conference wrote in an email this week: "'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace." Jan Willem van der Hoeven, Director of the International Christian Zionist Center, was quoting Jeremiah 8:11 as he realistically assessed the ever-tumultuous situation in the Middle East concerning Israel and Obama's 2-state solution... For the third time in a month, another poll hase come out demonstrating that a majority of the American public is pro-life.
