Join Us For a Discussion on America’s Energy Future on March 15th

On behalf of the Christian Coalition of America, I would like to invite you to attend our “Capitol Hill Roundtable Discussion on Energy”, as we look deeper at this issue.

We have heard from thousands of grassroots activists from around the country that are concerned about the impact that this issue has on our economy, our national security and their families.  They recognize that America’s dependence on foreign oil is a drain on our economy and leaves families victim to volatile gas prices.

We believe that there needs to be a conservative discussion on a national energy policy that speaks to the values of energy independence, national security, prosperity, family and stewardship.  That is why we are sponsoring this discussion... (READ MORE)

Christians Sued For Not Allowing Homosexual Ceremonies

Once you start down the path of redefining marriage to include anything other than the exclusive union of a man and a woman, it's not long before those who firmly disagree with that redefinition begin to see their values come under assault.  And that is just what has happened in Illinois.

Christian bed and breakfast owners are being sued by homosexuals for not allowing the use of their facilities for a gay "civil union" ceremony.  And since (as of this June) the state of Illinois legally allows such unions, the complaint is over discrimination, and the Illinois Attorney General's office is investigating... House Leaders Reject Obama's DOMA Decision; Rep. Hartzler Introduces Legislation

Without a doubt, the American people are not going to allow the radical Obama administration to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act, which was passed with an incredibly high majority in Congress  --  about 85% in 1996  --  and which was signed into law by a liberal president, Bill Clinton.

Today, a number of developments occurred in the House of Representatives regarding Obama's decision not to defend DOMA in the courts.  Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor came out with statements condemning Obama's decision.

In addition, Christian Coalition of America learned that a very courageous Republican Congresswoman from Missouri, Vicki Hartzler  --  one of the gigantic Republican freshmen class of 87 members  --  has introduced legislation demanding that President Obama respect the law and enforce the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) which he said he was not going to do... Senate Rejects House Bill De-Funding Planned Parenthood

The Senate rejected, on a 44-56 vote, the House-approved long-term budget bill that contains the Pence Amendment de-funding the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Lawmakers needed 60 votes to pass the bill under the rules of the Senate and did not come close to the number needed to do so.

The senate voted on H.R. 1, the long-term Continuing Resolution the House approved in February that contains the Pence Amendment and pro-life riders that reinstates the Mexico City Policy, stops abortion funding in the District of Columbia, and de-funds the pro-abortion UNFPA, which works hand-in-hand with Chinese population control officials who use forced abortions to enforce the one-child policy...
