Obama Health Care Mandates Abortion

The Dean of the pro-life movement in the United States House of Representatives, Congressman Chris Smith (R-NJ), who learned at the feet of the previous dean - the late Henry Hyde (Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee during the presidency of Bill Clinton) - recently held a press conference warning all Americans about the dangerous Obama health care bill which mandates abortions, paid for with American tax dollars.

The bleak fact that 50 million unborn children have been killed since the infamous Roe v. Wade case was decided by the United States Supreme Court in 1973, will be made even more abominable if President Obama succeeds in forcing Americans to pay for all abortions in American, as mandated by his health care bill, which he is trying to ram through Congress before they go on a one-month summer vacation... Obama and Pelosi quickly losing their Blue Dog Democrats

In the 1800's, voters in the South who only voted for Democrats were called Yellow Dog Democrats. They hated the Republicans because the Republican president, Abraham Lincoln and his Union troops, won the Civil War and these Southerners would rather vote for a yellow dog before they would vote for a Republican. Hence, the term Yellow Dog Democrats.

For the past couple of decades, a new term came up to describe certain Democrats who, in general, were fiscal conservatives. And that term is "Blue Dog Democrats," a term which came from "Yellow Dog Democrats." They were previously known in the Congress as the "Boll Weevils." They were among President Ronald Reagan's best friends as he passed his historic tax cuts, budget-cutting programs, and defense build-up which won the Cold War... (Read More)

Senate Republicans should put Democrats on the spot with Sotomayor

With a newly minted sixty-vote Democrat majority in the US Senate, the approval of the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court is all but assured. But what isn't assured is that it won't cost the Democrats something before all the dust settles. And that's up to the Republicans.

Do they have what it takes to make her positions on hot-button issues so toxic that the Democrats from "purple" or "red" states who support her will find themselves in political hot water back home? Her record represents just such an opportunity.

Before becoming a judge, Sotomayor was a leader of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund (PRLDEF), even serving as the Chairman of its Litigation Committee. And there we get a glimpse of some of the issues she was willing to lend her support to... (Read More)

Atheists relentless in trying to expunge God from public square

Congressman Steve King reacted last week to the atheists' attempt to ensure that our nation's motto, "In God We Trust," and the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag are not permanently engraved in the new Capitol Hill Visitors Center (CHVC). Congressman King said: "This lawsuit is another attempt by liberal activists to rewrite history and deny that America's Judeo-Christian heritage is an essential foundation stone of our great nation."

Christian Coalition of America has been at the forefront in the fight to include references to our great Judeo-Christian heritage in the beautiful -- although way-over-budget -- Capitol Visitors Center. It is disappointing that those in charge of setting up the exhibitions in the CHVC neglected to include much of our Christian heritage. Indeed, they even had what they thought was our nation's motto prominently displayed in the visitors' center: E Pluribus Unum. Unfortunately, these historians did not know that our nation's motto is "In God We Trust"... (Read More)

Justice Ginberg's and Margaret Sanger's Shocking Racial Statements

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, has historically been proven to have been a racist and a supporter of Hitler's program of eugenics. Planned Parenthood is the organization which has ended the lives of a large number of the 50 million unborn babies killed in abortions since the United States Supreme Court made abortion-on-demand legal in America with its infamous Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.

One would have thought that after Margaret Sanger died and Hitler's eugenics programs were ended, that that would be the end of the subject of eugenics. So it was very surprising to recently hear one of the most prominent women leaders in America, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, say the following in an interview with "The New York Times": "Yes, the ruling surprised me. Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of"... (Read More)

Is the Obama and Hillary split widening?

Last week in "The Washington Times," it was reported that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is castigating the White House for delaying an appointment of an administrator to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID.) She said the White House vetting process is not working and that "The clearance and vetting process is a nightmare, and it takes far longer than any of us would want to see. It is frustrating beyond words." Mrs. Clinton added, "I mean, it is ridiculous. Some very good people just didn't want to be vetted." And on July 16th, she said the White House process has become "cumbersom and lengthy."

This follows the rejection by the Obama White House of Secretary Clinton's tough stance against the Iranian government. She wanted to see greater support for the Iranian demonstrators who were getting bloodied and killed by Iranian President Mahamud Ahmajinedad's thugs. In fact, Secretary of State Clinton after the death of Neda Agha-Soltan -- the young woman who was murdered, shown in a video seen around the world on the Internet -- urged the Administration to get tougher with Iran. President Obama very slowly came around to her point of view and did not tell her when he did so... (Read More)
