Speaker Boehner: White House Should Reimburse Taxpayers for Cost of Campaign Trips
In his weekly press conference on Thursday, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) drew a stark contrast between House Republicans’ focus on creating jobs and addressing real challenges, and President Obama’s taxpayer-funded campaign to distract attention from his failed record on jobs, energy and the economy.
ON THE “CLEAR DIFFERENCE” BETWEEN REPUBLICANS’ FOCUS ON JOBS & DEMOCRATS’ FOCUS ON POLITICS:
“You know, families and small businesses around our country are still struggling in this economy and many are continuing to ask, ‘Where are the jobs?’... (READ MORE)

2012 Election Battleground Map
So, what does the battleground for the coming 2012 presidential election look like? Well, those national tracking polls you've been hearing about won't tell you. All they do tell you is what a national sample of registered (or maybe "likely") voters said on any given day. And of course the samples for those polls (and even the questions) get "gamed" by the media who sponsor them.
But the simple fact is that we don't elect a President "nationally". In effect, we hold 50 different state-by-state elections, with each state being allotted a set number of "electoral votes" based on state population. And you can pretty much bet the farm on "how" about thirty-five or forty of the states will vote in November...which leaves you with the "swing states".
The map below reflects the most likely swing states, based on polling over the past year... (READ MORE)

Congressman Price Offers a Positive Solution to the Future of Health Care
Congressman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) released the following video highlighting the solution he has proposed to repeal the president’s health care law and replace it with positive, patient-centered solutions.
“The president’s health care law is a threat to the well being of our nation, not just financially, but also to the quality and responsiveness of our health care system,” said Congressman Price. “Regardless of the Supreme Court’s decision, this law must be fully repealed so that we may move forward with positive, patient-centered solutions that respect and protect the rights of patients to make health care decisions with their doctors and to seek health care coverage that meets their needs, not those of the government. The Empowering Patients First Act would ensure that individuals maintain control over their health care decisions and that we respect the principles we hold dear”... (READ MORE)

Young Jobseekers Hit Hard by the Obama Economy
Four years after being promised hope and change, young Americans are feeling the real effects of the Obama Economy. In a nutshell: half of new college graduates are jobless or underemployed and young adults are living with their parents at the highest rate since 1950.
Why? Because the policies pursued by Democrats over the last few years have bred the weakest recovery since the Great Depression. Labor force participation is much lower than in a healthy economy. Overbearing red tape continues to pile up against job-creating sectors, especially energy. Our business tax rate is now the highest in the developed world... (READ MORE)

House Votes to Stop Student Loan Rates from Doubling, Cut ObamaCare Slush Fund
WASHINGTON, DC - House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) released the following statement after the House approved the Interest Rate Reduction Act (H.R. 4628), legislation by Rep. Judy Biggert (R-IL) that would extend current student loan interest rates by cutting spending from an ObamaCare slush fund:
“Students and families are struggling in President Obama’s economy. Nearly half of college graduates are unemployed or underemployed, and laws like ObamaCare have only made it harder for small businesses to hire them. That’s why House Republicans voted to extend current student loan rates and to pay for it by eliminating an ObamaCare slush fund President Obama himself proposed cutting from his budget. It’s time for the president and Democrats in Congress to stop exploiting the challenges facing young Americans for political gain, and start working with Republicans to create a better environment for private-sector job growth”...
