Obama administration putting any veterans on the terrorist watch list is a disgrace
Most of us Vietnam war veterans, and many other Americans, are appalled at Barack Obama's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) putting out a so-called terrorist "watch list" this week which includes pro-lifers -- the natural enemy of such a radical pro-abortion administration -- but equally as bad, includes American veterans.
Yet, this is an administration which is headed by an individual who began his political career in the home of his friend, Bill Ayers, an unrepetent terrorist, whose associates committed murder against innocent Americans as part of their left-wing anti-America and anti-war activities.
Those of us who are also members of the American Legion, almost 3 million strong, are encouraged that the leaders of the American Legion are demanding a meeting with Obama's head of the DHS, Janet Napolitano, who was an extreme left-wing governor before selected as Obama's "security" chief... White House won't comment on opinions about the Pope
The White House declined to comment this week on whether or not President Obama agrees with his recent appointee who said the Pope is a "discredited leader".
The man in question is Harry Knox, Obama's appointee to the White House Advisory Council of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, a government body that was started by former President Bush. Knox currently serves as Director of the Faith and Religion program at the Human Rights Campaign, which is a homosexual rights advocacy group.
Knox is also the same guy who stated in a 2004 debate the St. Paul's letter to the Romans was "not true"... (Read More)

Stop these bailouts Congress!
Many of the young people who are graduating from college looking to start careers in a market with 22% less jobs than in recent years - and who provided much of the campaign energy to get Barack Obama elected president - are having second thoughts. They are beginning to wonder if Obama's huge spending programs are depressing the job market and, indeed, if it could be a continuing problem for them in future years as they later seek better jobs.
Most Americans who read newspapers or a newsmagazines, and even those getting their news only by television, know by now that Obama's gargantuan government spending programs will create more debt than ALL the presidents of the United States created from George Washington to George W. Bush according to the Heritage Foundation. Even the 40 some Democrats who are in seats which were safely in President Bush's column in 2000 and 2004, and whose congressional districts which John McCain won, are getting a little worried... Most analysts say Conyer's "Hate Crimes" bill doomed to fail
Last week, Congressman Barney Frank, liberal Democrat from Massachusetts, put out a press release saying that the so-called "Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Act of 2009," H.R. 1913, of which he is an original co-sponsor, is expected to pass the House Judiciary Committee, populated by a majority of left-wing Democrats. Frank -- in his press release -- said that H.R. 1913 will most likely be on the House floor for a vote later this spring. The legislation was introduced into the House of Representatives on April 2 by the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Congressman John Conyers (D-MI.)
However, most political analysts say that it will not pass on the floor of the House of Representatives, because the 40 some Democrats who were elected in Republican districts -- won both times by President George W. Bush and won by Senator John McCain last year -- will be very queasy about voting for the so-called "hate crimes" bill. The Employment Non-discrimination Act (ENDA) has a much better chance of passing Congress considering that in the past, a conservative Congressman like Paul Ryan, R-WI, voted for ENDA... (Read More)

Governor Rick Perry leads effort in support of states rights
The Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution is pretty clear. It says that: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
In today's era of gargantuan budgets and equally huge bail-out bills for just about every major industry in America, a backlash is beginning to occur all around America. Governor Rick Perry, the Republican governor of Texas, is wholeheartedly supporting the efforts of a Texas state legislator, Brandon Creighton, to get his House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) passed in support of the rights of states under the United States Constitution's 10th Amendment...
