WASHINGTON -- GOP vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan says the Obama administration's actions toward Israel border on "contempt."

It was just one of several criticisms the Wisconsin representative had regarding President Obama's foreign policy record.

Israel's Netanyahu Appeals to US Voters on Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to the American airwaves, appealing directly to the American public to elect a president willing to draw a "red line" with Iran.

The Obama administration has said it will do what it takes to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, but Netanyahu told NBC's "Meet the Press" that it takes more than words.

"If you're determined to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons, it means you'll act before they get nuclear weapons," the prime minister said on the Sunday morning news program.

"I just think that it's important to communicate to Iran that there is a line that they won't cross," he said.

Romney: Fed's Actions Proves Obama's Policies Wrong

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney charged that the Federal Reserve's latest action proves President Obama's economic policies are not working.

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke announced plans to spend $40 billion a month to help boost the weak economy, Thursday.

"What Bernanke's doing is saying that what the president's saying is wrong," Romney told ABC News. "The president's saying the economy's making progress, coming back. Netanyahu: Israel Understands America's Grief

JERUSALEM, Israel -- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended Israel's condolences to the families of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other officials at the American embassy in Libya who were murdered Tuesday night by Islamic terrorists.

Hobby Lobby Sues Over Birth Control Mandate

The Christian-owned business Hobby Lobby Stores Inc. filed a federal lawsuit Wednesday challenging the president's health care mandate that requires employers to provide contraception like the "morning after" pill in their health insurance plan.

The lawsuit claims the government is forcing the company's owners "to violate their deeply held religious beliefs under threat of heavy fines, penalties, and lawsuits by providing a pill that when taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex, can terminate a pregnancy by as much as 89 percent."

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Democratic Party is promoting the idea that Republicans are waging a war on women. But skeptics say it depends on which women you talk to, whether they believe there is such a war, and who's really waging it.

Romney Strategist: Obama Poll Bounce a 'Sugar High'

President Obama may not be enjoying the post-convention bounce many polls indicate.

Many of those surveys were taken among registered voters, some of whom are unlikely to head to the polls in November.

An ABC News-Washington Post poll of likely voters showed the president had a 49-48 lead over Romney. That's basically unchanged from before the Democratic convention.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney is pledging to keep America "under God."

"I will not take God out of my heart. I will not take God out of the public square," Romney said while campaigning in Ohio Monday.

Americans are getting a break from presidential politics on this eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

President Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney are suspending negative ads and neither will appear at overtly political events.

The president has scheduled a moment of silence at the White House and a trip to the Pentagon.

Romney: Jobs Numbers Evidence of Obama's Failure

New numbers from the Department of Labor could force the Federal Reserve to stimulate the sluggish economy with more money.

Only 96,000 people got a job in August, far fewer than economists were hoping for.

"There was some whisper numbers that we were going to get a payroll number of 200,000 this morning, so 96,000 is very disappointing," Aaron Taks, editor-in-chief of Yahoo! Finance, said.

The unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 one percent from 8.3 percent in July, only because more people gave up looking for jobs and dropped out of the work force.

Cardinal Closes DNC with Prayer for Unborn

Catholic Archbishop of New York Timothy Dolan closed out the Democratic National Convention with prayer last night, stressing the right to life for the unborn.

Dolan is a prominent opponent of abortion and same-sex marriage.

"Thus do we praise you for the gift of life," Dolan prayed. "Grant us to defend it. Life, without which no other rights are secure."

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Democrats pulled a surprising about-face Wednesday, amending their party platform to reinstate language acknowledging God and declaring Jerusalem the capital of Israel. It reportedly took a personal request from President Obama to make it happen.

DNC Kicks Off with Praise for Obama, Romney Attacks

The Democrats are going on the attack. The Democratic National Convention kicked off officially last night in Charlotte, N.C. Speakers lashed out at Mitt Romney as the first lady praised her husband.

"Being president doesn't change who you are," Michelle Obama said. "No, it reveals who you are."

Mrs. Obama says her husband still stands behind working families.

Once again, Republicans are asking, "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" And once again, Democrats have had a hard time coming up with an answer.
