House Passes Highway Bill despite Veto Threat
Source :
The House of Representatives passed another highway bill extension that includes a measure requiring the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
President Obama has threatened to veto such a measure, but 69 Democrats voted Wednesday along with the Republican majority in favor of the bill.
The 293-127 vote is likely to keep the pipeline issue alive until November's presidential election.
Members of the House and Senate will soon meet to discuss details of the bill.
