Barack Obama's nominee for Solicitor General, Elena Kagan, is dangerous to America. She was the radical attorney who fought in the federal courts against the legislation introduced by American hero and now deceased Congressman Jerry Solomon, a Korean War veteran, and signed into law by a Democrat president, Bill Clinton, to allow military recruiters to meet with students and to allow the Reserved Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) on campuses around the country.

All 9 members of the United States Supreme Court, including the four left-wingers on the court, disagreed with Elena Kagan's arguments against Solomon's law. The court ruled constitutional the law which stated that schools could refuse military recruiters and the ROTC program on their campuses, but then they would be...

When those of us were staffers at the Republican Study Committee in the late 1980's -- that committee in the United States House of Representatives of some 80 mostly conservative Congressmen -- the membership was dedicated to the principles of smaller government and lower taxes. Indeed, in 1990, the membership even got the overwhelmingly Democrat-controlled House of Representatives to vote against the first President Bush's deal with the Democrats to cut the federal government by two dollars for every dollar in tax increases.

It was the largest tax increase, up to that point in time, in American history. The Democrats' and President George H. W. Bush's legislation was defeated in the House by one vote. Needless to say, the Republicans in the Senate could not duplicate...

Barack Obama is to be commended for caving-in to the pro-life movement and forcing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to strip family planning funds from Obama's $1.1 TRILLION "stimulus" spending bill

The leaders of the Republicans in the United States House of Representatives provided great leadership in working to remove the family planning section (Section 5004) from the so-called "stimulus" bill, the Democrats' #1 priority, H.R. 1, which would have cost American taxpayers up to another $300 million which would have led to many more abortions in the United States.

Americans need to call the offices of the Republican Leader, John Boehner (Ohio),...

Largest spending bill in American history ($1.1 TRILLION) -  filled with useless pork projects  -  passes Democrat-controlled House of Representative -- EVERY Republican Congressman voted NO and 11 fiscally-responsible Democrats join ALL Republicans in opposing so-called "stimulus" bill

Republicans and other fiscally-responsible Americans were overjoyed on Wednesday night when 100% of Republicans and 11 fiscally-responsible Democrats opposed the gargantuan $1.1 TRILLION Obama "stimulus" bill (includes interest payments according to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office) in the United States House of Representatives.  Unfortunately, the Obama bill passed by a margin of 244-188.

The 11 fiscally-responsible Democrats who voted NO on the Obama...

Yesterday, just a few days after Barack Obama restarted the Culture War -- contrary to his campaign promises not to do so -- by revoking President Ronald Reagan's Mexico City Policy, Senate pro-life Republicans tried to reinstate Reagan's policy to no avail.

Senator Mel Martinez, Republican from Florida, authored the amendment to reinstate the Mexico City Policy which would ensure groups such as Planned Parenthood International which do abortions in countries all across the world, would not receive American taxpayers' dollars. The Martinez Amendment failed by a margin of 60-37 with the usual 4 liberal Republicans voting against the amendment (Senators Susan Collins (Maine); Lisa Murkowski (Alaska); Olympia Snowe (Maine) and Arlen Specter (Pennsylvania.)

Congressman Chris Smith was joined on Wednesday by Democrat Congressman Bart Stupak and Republican Representatives Jim Sensenbrenner and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen in introducing H.R. 708, aimed at restoring the abortion-neutral Mexico City Policy - Unfortunately, Senator Mel Martinez' Amendment restoring the Mexico City Policy failed by a margin of 60-37 in the Senate

Just 5 days after Barack Obama abolished President Ronald Reagan's Mexico City Policy prohibiting funding for international groups which perform abortions or promote abortions, the "Dean of pro-lifers" in the United States Congress, Congressman Chris Smith, R-NJ, was joined by Democrat Congressman Bart Stupak from Michigan, and Republican Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner from Wisconsin and Republican...

It was announced on Fox News last night that the House Administration Committee is considering a gigantic increase of $90,000 this year for the office budget of the average Member of the House of Representatives which now is over $1,200,000 per year. Staff salaries and other offices expenses come out of this annual budget. Normally, the annual increase in the budget is about $10,000 or so.

Democrat Congressman Ron Kind from Wisconsin opposes such a huge increase in the congressional office budget. Indeed, he believes the budget itself is too large. Ever since he became a Congressman some 12 years ago, he has returned some 10% of his annual budget back to the American taxpayers. Indeed, recently his total return to the American people went over $1 million.

On the...

Late last Friday, was the new president hiding from Americans the fact that more unborn babies will die because he decided to do away with President Ronald Reagan's Mexico City Policy (also supported by both President Bush 41 and President 43 )? If a politician wants to suppress a story -- maybe to try to maintain the support of some of the young evangelical voters who voted for him in the election -- he releases a press release late on Friday evenings so not many television viewers and newspaper readers will notice the story the next day.

Last Friday, Barack Obama signed an executive order -- with no fanfare after newspaper and television network deadlines had passed -- to do away with the Mexico City Policy which prohibited groups like Planned Parenthood...
