Since so many of us are currently unemployed, and the economic news is so very grim, what is the least classy example you know about of someone being laid off?  Maybe at least we can find some humor in the absurdity.  How about being called on a cellphone by a manager on another cellphone in a company with 11,000 employees (apparently very few in HR)?  Does anyone ever consider the possibility that hearing about a layoff if you happen to be driving, might not be terribly safe?
