The dire humanitarian situations in Syria, Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon and elsewhere are of epic proportions but no longer making headline news even though massive numbers of people are continuing to flee brutal, totalitarian regimes. As the world gazes on, it seems obvious what to do to help these helpless people but that would mean the opening of borders. In a different time this would have been the answer but given the nature of today’s enemy, this is definitely not the answer.
Growing wind energy aligns with conservative values. America’s renewable energy resources strengthen U.S. energy independence, transform local communities, and improve the lives of American families for generations to come.
That’s the message hundreds of Young Conservatives for Energy Reform and Christian Coalition activists brought to Washington recently at their Conservative Clean Energy Summit, which was co-sponsored by the American Wind Energy Association.
Where are all of the Christians who should be standing for right and against wrong? Where are all of the Christians who should be standing for Israel? G-d Himself in Genesis 12:3 said, “I will bless those who bless you (Israel) and the one who curses you (does not stand) I will curse.”
A basic premise of Christian faith and roots has everything to do with Israel. To ignore Israel is to shun G-d’s word of an eternal covenant with His Chosen People, the Jews, and an eternal covenant cannot be broken. Our silence in our own countries also affects Israel, its land and people. It is imperative that Christians all over the world stand and contend for Israel.
On the day thousands of Iranians celebrated the 36th anniversary of the destruction of the US embassy by burning the American flag, chanting ‘Death to America’ and ‘Down with Israel,’ I decided to review the Iran deal as it’s been reported thus far.
So now the three Biblically required attended feasts for the calendar year are ended. The Shemitah year is finished for this cycle and the four blood moons have appeared. The US did not stop the Iran Deal. The Pope met with Obama during the days of awe. And the world has not ended, at least not yet.
Though these events are thought to portend a particularly doomsday scenario, they have not, just as Y2K did not. Life goes on - even in the Middle East and in Israel. Same complaints, same problems, same joy in life events. Nothing has changed. It’s the status quo.
While waiting for the dust to settle on the impressive sounding Iranian nuclear plan known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and also known by many as “The Obama Legacy Hope” and the “Kerry Nobel Prize Search,” I realized that I might be dead when that dust settles. Hopefully it will be due to natural causes but it is possible that it might be caused from nuclear fallout – even if it takes ten years to touch down. I will keep you posted.
While it’s no longer news, it’s still shockingly unbelievable that President Obama and the P5+1 group (United States, United Kingdom, Russia, China, France and Germany), have agreed to a nuclear deal with Iran; the world’s largest supporter and exporter of terror. Iran currently has a nuclear program in place and, despite denials from the White House, this new deal has opened a pathway for Iran to enrich weapons-grade uranium and be ready with a nuclear bomb in ten years or less. Furthermore, part of the nuclear deal will lift current economic sanctions resulting in a windfall to Iran in excess of one hundred and fifty billion dollars.
