The Ant And The Grasshopper--Modern Version

The Ant and the Grasshopper fable worked well in times past when people were encouraged to succeed.  Alas, the world has drastically changed, especially America since this story was first published, which renders the moral of the original yarn obsolete. Since the story is still being read today, an update is required and has been implemented to more accurately reflect the times. We thank Rev. Ed Berkey (Ret.) for sending this to MilesTones:

THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER
This one is a little different....
Two Different Versions....Two Different Morals....

 OLD VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

A Month Before Chistmas...and...

The Christmas Season is upon us again, even though the social-reconstructed government of the U.S.S A., having been re-educated in dealing with anything Christian, (other 'religions' are fine) has stimulated writers and poets to new ways with words to look ahead at what we can expect during the coming Christmas Celebration. Lindasue Sisuela, a popular writer with the Northern California newspaper, America's Good News, forwarded this updated take on,"The Night Before Christmas."

 "T'was The Month Before Christmas
  When all through our land,
  Not a Christian was praying,
  Nor taking a stand.

 "See the PC Police had taken away, 
 The reason for Christmas - no one could say.

 "The children were told by their schools not to sing,
  About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.
  It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say,

 "Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit
  Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!
  CDs from Madonna,
  An X BOX, an I-pod.
  Something was changing,
  Something quite odd!  
  
" Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanza, 
  In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda.

" As Target was hanging their trees upside down, 
  At Lowes the word Christmas - was no where to be found.

There once was a time, when a man knew his place, he was to work hard for his family, protect his wife and children with his life, if that meant he would have to trade in his mortality, done. The woman knew her place as well, she was to nurture her children, and make the home a place where a man could rest after dealing with the cruel cynical world and know that no matter how daunting it could be, he was loved. Of course there was more to it than that, but the structure was simple and defined. Families trusted in the lord above, as our founders did, and they overcame.

In 1775 a movement of spirited men decided they would no longer simply exist under the oppressive thumb of a tyrant or a corrupt overbearing government and they revolted, this was the revolutionary war. Under the care of a God, and guided by the words of the Holy Bible, these men would go on to create a country that was second to none, America. Our founders were not inspired by Allah, Buddha, or some humanistic higher power, they were moved by the Lord, Jesus Christ. This young Nation was guided by Christianity and its children built a republic inspired by the belief that the Ten Commandments made sense.

DDT Elimination Killed Millions--But No One Will Take Blame

Elimination and/or banning DDT throughout the world have led to at least 1 million deaths in Africa alone last year. But counting all the earlier deaths in Africa, and all the deaths in other countries (including the US because of its 1972 DDT ban), one gets an idea of just how much death and misery was caused by almost one single book.

Rachel Carson's Silent Spring was the driving force behind eliminating DDT throughout the world. Her fraudulent claims of bird egg thinning, and widespread declines in bird populations have all been thoroughly debunked by numerous studies.

Don’t neglect Christian shops during Black Friday

I’ve been active in the War on Christmas to keep vendors from
removing the word. I consider the issue important for many reasons;
I’ll just state one; missionaries overseas who are unable to talk
freely about Christianity are able to talk about the US. We can not
give anything to a God who already has everything, but we can give
charity to those in need. Christians believe in a loving God, charity
is one way we can return love.

Christian vendors do not need to have people question them about the word Christmas. It is freely used.

that does not go against Christian principles … Yes they are using the
word Christmas for Black Friday specials.

The Obamacon: Taxes, Lies, and Treachery

When Nancy Pelosi was asked whether or not she thought it was fair for people to face incarceration for not participating in Obamacare, she replied, " Well the point is, we want.....blah blah blah" Why can't this administration ever say "YES" or "NO"? They truly reckon that we are idiot's, you know, maybe we are. American's overwhelmingly reject government run healthcare, but the democrats are forging ahead, buying off the dissenters. This whole political system is a sham, it's a mockery of the nation we once knew. We are virtually paralyzed, will this country survive the Obama con?

The Obama propaganda machine that surfaces like greasy grimy pollution in an otherwise beautiful pond, monopolize every cable channel, they can hardly keep a straight face defending their liar, I mean leader. They resemble rats, doing the bidding of their pied piper. The democrat party has produced quite an abundance of dirtbags, like Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu, whose integrity was bought for a cool hundred million(some say 300 million), she figures her constituents can be bought as well if she spreads part of the wealth around. The problem is, it's not only the citizens of Louisiana that will be flipping the bill, it will be all of us.

This special time of the year is a time for each of us to reflect on all the blessings that have come to us from the Lord in America. The American flag still flies over our land, we have the privilege to vote, we have the freedom to worship, we can pledge our Allegiance to America and to our Lord, we can let our voice be known, we have the freedom to make choices, our troops are protecting us daily, in 'God we Trust' is still on our money, there is food and water in America, we can go to school and are blessed with the best medical care as our list goes on. Yes Lord, "we do come into your presence with "Thanksgiving", we are thankful for your love and protection over America and what you have given us through the years.

Remind us to always be grateful and not take anything for granted but seek you for your Wisdom for each elected Leader. We ask you by your mighty power to turn America back to you. Nothing is impossible when you are with us. Bring America back Lord to our Godly heritage and sweep America again with your Holy Spirit as we turn our hearts toward you with Thanksgiving.

For Obama--A Trillion Dollars Is Just A Drop in The Bucket

Obama's Healthkill Scheme that he plans to push through tomorrow, Saturday, will cost taxpayers $2.5 trillion. Does anyone have any idea of how much ONE trillion dollars would be?

Joe Ambroso, one of the columnists for The Examiner (International web news organization) explains what this means for our out-of-control deficit spending:

"A friend recently gave me a sense of how much a trillion is with an illustration you can also find on various Internet sites. A million seconds, he said, is 12 days, while a billion seconds is 31 years. A trillion seconds? That's 31,688 years. In other words, a trillion is a whole, whole lot, and that's something you might keep in mind when reading that the U.S. deficit for 2009 is now projected at $1.4 trillion, which is a cool trillion more than the deficit in 2008 and the most government spending as a percentage of gross domestic product - 10 percent - since World War II."

Obama, however is going beyond that to spend $2.5 trillion for his healthscare plan.  Where do we get the money? When China runs out, The One will simply print up more money....with absolutely nothing to back it with, paving the way for the total bankruptcy over-throw and collapse of America, which is the Marxist plan, and has been since 1900.

Tomorrow, Saturday, November 21, 2009, the most inportant vote in decades is expected to be decided in the U.S. Senate...the socialized medicine legistation.
