Is It Proper to Call Obama a Liar?

Los Angeles : CA : USA | Oct 19, 2012 at 12:12 PM PDT

by Rev. Austin Miles

There have been occasions when Obama's statements were less than..well...accurate. He stated that the attack on the Libyan Embassy that killed four Americans was a protest due to a video insulting to Muslims when it was a terrorist attack to coincide with the date 9/11.

In the recent debates, he stated that the economy has improved under his rule, that Mitt Romney wants to cut taxes for the rich, that Romney cares nothing for the middle class, that unemployment is at the lowest level since his presidency....when actually the current number of the unemployed is the same as it was when he first went into office...unemployment rose drastically, then began to come back down to what it was when he first took office. Creative circular truth perhaps?

Still, by probing his statements with a closer look, would it be proper to actually suggest that the man occupying the Oval Office is a liar? Would that not be disrespectrul to the high office?

The late Terry Anderson, a black Los Angeles Talk Radio Host (who died in 2010), examined a partial list of statements made by Obama and responded to them on his program after Obama was "elected.":

1.) Selma March Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965.
(Google 'Obama Selma ' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.) ! !

Many have the full intention of deleteting at least 6 words from the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. Those words are: “…or prohibiting the free exercise thereof… .  “Thereof'” specifically refers to religion. Other constitutional changes seem imminent as well, if Democrats win the next presidential election.

A main purpetrator is the infamous Health and Human Services (HHS) “contraception mandate”. An administrative rule  authorized by the 2010 Affordable Care Act, says every employer (>50 employees) must provide group health insurance.
That includes no-cost coverage of sterilization services, and prescription contraceptives (abortifacients--including the pill).

Big Bird & the 47% must give up their wasteful hand-outs

Conservatives were delighted with Governor Mitt Romney’s declaration to presidential debate moderator Jim Lehrer on Wednesday night that “I’m sorry, Jim, I’m going to stop the subsidy to PBS. I’m going to stop other things. I like PBS. I love Big Bird. Actually, I like you too. But I’m not going to keep on spending money on things to borrow money from China to pay for us.”  Mr. Lehrer stepped down as anchor of the PBS Newshour on June 6, 2011.

Romney went on to tell Lehrer and Barack Obama  --  who increased the national debt by $5 trillion in under 4 years to an eye-popping $16 trillion  --   and the vast audience watching on television and listening on the radio/Internet that he will cut all kinds of things that are wasteful and which cannot be justified with loans from the Chinese.  After all, subsidies to Big Bird  --  part of the billions of dollars in handouts given to the Public Broadcasting System (PBS)/Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) over the past decades  --  are just the tip of the iceberg of government waste.

Obama calling McFly..anyone home?

One of the unwritten rules of conversation or confrontation is to know that you have a very limited moment in which to react or respond, when an opponent delivers a verbal or even physical shot.. Just a very small window for retort, this is what separates the quick witted winner from the dulled down loser. (sorry non-winner) You simply have to wing it, and the Law of Truths will usually dictate he who's on the right side of history will emerge victorious. In other words it's easy to find the words when you are expressing the truth or something you know to be right.

Last nights debate revealed that President Obama is neither truthful or on the right side of history. He struggled to maintain appropriate eye contact with his political adversary, his gaze kept referring down to his notes and papers, as if they could ever rescue him. It certainly seemed he was trapped in an intellectual paralysis without his trusted teleprompter. Mitt marched over the former demagogue, with quick and even tempered dialog. For weeks the Presidents attack apparatus had been pounding Romney with erroneous or exaggerated claims, the 47%, jobs out sourced, protecting the rich, blah, blah, blah.
