The Vote 2008

2008 - A year I will remember ... Our power was just turned back on
late Saturday eve to the cheers of neighbors in our area..

2 plus weeks
without lights (Thank You Ike) left one much time to ponder life and compare it to The
Bible.

The front yard & Driveway.... (Jane with Eebby the pooch )

I found I was on overload by the many distractions our power sources on
earth provide, that takes away from what should be my (our ) focus.

Is it the elections? Nope. No matter what the outcome, we know, and
have assurance though Jesus our Christ, that all things will work to
the good for those that love Him and are called ( saved by His blood
and sacrifice. ).

The greatest distraction I have seen so far this election cycle is that
of fear. Voting for the "Lesser" of two evils is not comforting in the
flesh.. no matter who you consider the lesser to be.. as evil is evil.
There is no center.. God said your either Hot or Cold .. any thing else
He would spit out.. You either let fear rule and vote for evil or you
see what else God may have provided as an alternative to Obama or
McCain. ( see: http://www.patriotsrevolt.com and look for information
on Chuck Baldwin )

(( On the later McCain.. please visit:
http://www.eaglesnest-2.net/eagles/ ( not inclusive of all his evil )
but fact from the horses mouth. Col. Ted Guy was a personal friend of
mine.. as well as Navy Cmdr Gerald "Beak" Atkinson and others who share
McCains two faces. ))

FEAR: The Bible says..

2 Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind

The Bible has quite a bit to say about fear. In fact it mentions two
specific types of fear. The first type is beneficial and is to be
encouraged. The second type is a detriment and is to be not only
discouraged, but overcome. The first type of fear is fear of the Lord.
This type of fear is not necessarily fear that means to be afraid of
something. Rather it is a reverential awe of God; a reverence for His
power and glory. However, it is also proper respect for His wrath and
anger. In other words, it is a total acknowledgement of all that God is
which comes through knowing Him and all His attributes.

Fear of the Lord brings with it many blessings and benefits. In Psalm
111:10 it says, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all
who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal
praise.” And in Proverbs 1:7 it says, “The fear of the LORD is the
beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.” Thus
we see how both wisdom and knowledge begin with fear of the Lord.

Furthermore, in Proverbs 19:23 it says, “The fear of the LORD leads to
life: Then one rests content, untouched by trouble.” And again in
Proverbs 14:27, “The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning a
man from the snares of death.” And Proverbs 14:26 states, “He who fears
the LORD has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a
refuge.” In these verses we see that fear of the Lord provides life,
security for your children, protection from evil, confidence, and
satisfaction.

Thus one can see how fear of the Lord should be encouraged. However,
the second type of fear mentioned in the Bible is not beneficial and
should be not only discouraged but overcome. This is the “spirit of
fear” mentioned in 2 Timothy 1:7 where it says, “For God has not given
us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”
(NKJV). Thus we see right from the beginning that this “spirit of fear”
does not come from God.

However, sometimes we are afraid, sometimes this “spirit of fear”
overcomes us, and to overcome this fear we need to trust in and love
God completely. First John 4:18 tells us, “There is no fear in love.
But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with
punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” However, no
one is perfect, and God knows this. So He has liberally sprinkled
encouragement against fear throughout the Bible. Beginning in the Book
of Genesis and continuing throughout the Book of Revelations God tells
us to “Fear not.”

Therefore, when you cast your vote, will your selection be based on
"fear" and the lesser of two evils or will you open your eyes and see
if maybe God has another plan through a David who is facing Goliath.
Chuck Baldwin vs. the Pork Barrel evils who want to end our freedoms as
we know them. Be assured evil is evil and both will support the
replacement of our beliefs and heritage for their share of 30 shekels of silver.

Top 50 Most Highly Decorated U.S. Military Personnel of All Time [ Compiled by NAM PoW Historian Mike McGrath of MAC'sFacts Fame ]

On this page I have used my Medal Points System to
list the Top 50 Most Highly Decorated U.S. Mlitary Personnel in
American History. This includes all military branches and all time
periods. Although I believe the list to be inclusive of all Soldiers,
Sailors, Airmen, and Marines, it is still a work in progress. As I
research new personnel, it is possible I will find someone new that
will make the top 50 list. My master list I work from includes over 300
military personnel. There are two lists: the first list requires that
the person has to have been awarded the Medal of Honor; the second list
simply totals up the person's points, no matter what their highest
decoration is.
