Hunger in America a Growing Reality
Submitted by truthteller on November 24, 2008 - 9:03pm.Why are there people starving in America? One reason I believe that this is occurring is because there is a lack of compassion created because we are being directed toward socialism. With the creation of welfare, people are looked upon by the leaders in Washington as nothing more than a number on a roll. The American public is becoming weary of having to support those who are struggling more so than they, because with the current economic status we as a nation currently stand upon, people are withholding their money to make sure that they have enough to survive upon for themselves and their families. The church is the one whose place this task belongs to, not the U.S. government. The church has the ability to relate to people on an individual basis and meet the need on a personal level. I truly believe that if the church of Jesus Christ would involve itself fully on this issue that hunger could be greatly reduced at a great savings to the U.S. taxpayer. Will this occur, I have my doubts, but I believe that if God's people will get involved in His plan for mankind, than anything is possible. Why does Israel matter to the United States?
Submitted by truthteller on November 24, 2008 - 8:39pm.The Bible states that those who support Israel are blessed and those who do not are cursed. Could it be that the presidency of George W. Bush experienced its downfall as a result of his proposed plan of dividing Israel up to try and bring peace between the Arabs and the Jews in that land? I tend to believe that since President Bush went that route he ended up on the wrong side of what God expects, and thus was judged as a result. How good will President elect Obama be? Watch how he treats Israel. If he treats them according to how the God of the Bible expects him to, then he will find success. If not, then we could be in for a rough ride. I truly believe that the Republicans have lost ground in both Houses and now the White House because of a lack of understanding on how to govern on this issue. America has always been a friend and supporter of Israel and can not afford to change that view now. Are future as a nation I believe depends upon it.
Why the silence on Abortion
Submitted by truthteller on November 13, 2008 - 10:00pm.I can remember a day when this issue seemed to be at the forefront, but now appears to have taken a backseat to economic and the war on terror. Is the reason why this has been placed on the back burner is because the major news media and the Democratic Party realize that they are on the losing side of this issue? Or could it be that the conservative movement has lost its fire for this issue and have given it over to the media? I truly believe that this issue must once again be a rallying cry for the conservative movement to help unify our movement and the vision we have for it. For this is an issue which God himself stands with us on. What will it take to bring this to the forefront of our movement? I am not sure, but I pray that there are men and women who are willing to risk their future in government to save the lives of the unborn and make a stand for righteousness. For we do not need more politicans, we need men and women who burn with passion for life, liberty and the pursuit of righteousness.

Where has George W. Bush gone wrong
Submitted by truthteller on November 11, 2008 - 9:46pm.When President Bush was put into office nearly eight years ago conservatives were delighted to see the change that was coming to the White House. Many believed that President Bush would help drive the conservative movement forward to new heights. At first President Bush appeared to be the one to fulfill this as he took charge of the War on Terror and signed into law a bill that banned partial birth abortions. So where did he and the Republician Congress go wrong?
When they began to abandon the conservative values that they ran with from the beginning. They began to overspend and tried to go bout and legalize illegal aliens. It wasn't the War on Terror that brought Bush down. The media and the Democrats did not sink him. Bush sank himself as he drifted from the very principles that brought him into office in 2000 and 2004. Only time will tell what his legacy will be like. I tend to believe that most people will remember President Bush for his willingness to stand strong during the difficult days after 9/11. But only time will tell.

What's in Store for Palin's Political Future?
Submitted by truthteller on November 10, 2008 - 8:54pm.I truly believe that Sarah Palin will play a major role in helping to shape the direction of the Republican party if she so decides to remain engaged at the national level. I truly believe that she will remain at the forefront not because of her being picked as the Vice President Elect, but because of her personal convictions and how those convictions will drive her to want to help bring reform back to the party.
Afterall, Sarah was able to draw the crowds in larger numbers than what McCain was able to do. This proves to me that she relates well to the general public and the ideas that they embrace. There will be opposition from those who will wag their finger at Sarah and try to discredit her from picking up the sword of destiny, but ultimately I see her personal convictions driving her to the place where she will play a major driving force of change within the Republician Party. Because Sarah Palin is someone who realizes that what she does in leading others means you must serve them first. For as one serves they earn the right to lead. Sarah Palin understands that principle and as a result will experience continual success.

Will the Church Grow Under Pres. Obama?
Submitted by truthteller on November 9, 2008 - 7:01pm.
I do believe that the church will make strides in realizing what we are up against. I do believe that President elect Obama has been able to mislead people in who he truly is because of the efforts of the major media's work in hiding his true colors. Once the cover is peeled back and people begin to see him for what he is representing, the church will unite in a way we have not seen since the days of the Clinton Adminstration.
What the church needs to do over the next four years is engage the political and social enivorment as we have not done previously. What we have been willing to do is elect a conservative president or Congress and sit back and think that we have done our job. Placing our hope in man is not the answer. We must be willing to speak out, vote and engage the issues in a much more direct manner to help influence society to our way of thinking. A large part of society sees Christians as out of touch and as extremists. We must be able to convey our world view in a way that is pratical and yet challenging. For I truly believe that our ideas based upon holy scripture are always superior and in the end will win out if they are allowed equal footing with all that oppose us.

Look to the Future
Submitted by truthteller on November 9, 2008 - 3:25pm.Before Ronald Reagan took office the fairness doctrine was already in place and was used to help control the conservative movement in check. Remember at this point in time people like Rush Limbaugh did not dominate the nations airwaves as is the case today. But when Reagan was able to defeat this legislation the door cracked open and we as conservatives have not looked back.
Does anyone believe that the current atmosphere in our country would allow such legislation to take wings onece again? I do not believe so. With so many people tuned into people like Limbaugh, Fox news and other such entities I truly believe that the Democratic party and Barrack Obama would be faced with so many lawsuits and such an outcry from the public that such a law will not be able to overcome the obstacles that it faces. Does this not mean we will not face challenges? I would be a fool to thinks otherwise. However, I do believe that Obama does not want to come across as a complete liberal because if he does he will end up loosing any hopes of reelection in four years.
But even if the fairness doctrine should be able to stiffle the conservative movement in one way we must be willing to use the technology that is available to us to help promote our message. For I truly believe that our message is one that cannot be trumped when it is accurately portrayed. Thus times may appear dark now, but it is always appears darkest before the dawn breaks forth. And believe me, the dawn will rise once again in this great nation.
