Speaker Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco Continues its Slide Toward Depravity

The Associated Press reported yesterday, that San Francisco  --  home of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Democrat Nancy Pelosi  --  "would become the first major U.S. city to decriminalize prostitution if voters next month approve Proposition K—a measure that forbids local authorities from investigating, arresting or prosecuting anyone for selling sex."  The A.P. report said:  "In this live-and-let-live town, where medical marijuana clubs do business next to grocery stores and an annual fair celebrates sadomasochism, prostitutes could soon walk the streets without fear of arrest."

As the (U.S.) Capitol Hill Prayer Partners' newsletter stated today:  "... San Francisco brings shame and judgment upon this nation, adding another filthy pile on top of many iniquities already perpetrated by the people of this nation. Obviously, we must stand in repentance with this city, for the righteous in the city lack the strength to resist evil without all of us joining with them. Pray that those rebellious against the Word of the Lord will be scattered from the city...."

If this shameful proposition passes on November 4th, local law enforcement officials would lose the power to go after prostitutes. The Associated Press went on to say in their report, "Even in tolerant San Francisco—where the sadomasochism fair draws thousands of tourists and a pornographic video company is housed in a former armory—the measure faces an uphill battle, with much of the political establishment opposing it."  Of course the left-wing Democrat Party in San Francisco has endorsed the proposal.

The A.P. reported that San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris said the ballot question mistakenly assumes prostitution is a victimless crime. District Attorney Harris said, "The crime of prostitution does not exist by itself.  Along with it come pimps, johns and other crimes that really impact the safety of neighborhoods."

Hopefully, there will be enough citizens with commonsense in this depraved and corrupt city to vote no on this abominable measure.  Afterall, even the left-wing community of nearby Berkeley refused to approve the decriminalization of prostitution in 2004 by a vote of 67% disapproval.
