As a Catholic woman, I am greatly troubled by Nancy Pelosi's claim to membership in the Catholic Church.  A question looms in my mind about how devout a Catholic Nancy Pelosi IS!

We profess a creed, called the Apostles' Creed.  Apparently, Ms. Pelosi deems herself exempt from obedience of the directives of the
Church, The Bible or simply a moral conscience.  I am deeply offended at her blatant disregard of the clear and unmovable moral obligations of a Christian.  No wonder so many refuse to believe that a person cannot be both Catholic and a true Christian!

To any who doubt, I am one of the countless Catholics who have a personal relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  That's right!  I AM NOT LONESOME IN MY CHRISTIAN FAITH WITHIN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!!  There are countless others who love the Lord with a beauty I strive to imitate and sincerely thank dear Abba Father for because they help me fix my heart and mind upon the Lord, Jesus Christ!

Because there are Nancy Pelosi's who choose to serve such dishonor upon "their" Church the non- Christians continue to see us as hypocrites and phonies who use religion as a crutch.  SHE may very well use religion as a crutch to her unholy journey, but we true Catholic Christians lean on Jesus Christ who is the Author of Life. read more »

I STRONGLY AGREE THAT THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO DEVELOP INNOVATIVE ENERGY CHOICES AND ENCOURAGE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO PUT THEIR MINDS AND PERSONAL ENERGY TO WORK IN COMING UP WITH ALTERNATIVES TO DEPENDANCE ON FOREIGN OIL FOR OUR ENERGY CONSUMPTION.

THAT'S AS FAR AS I WANT MY GOVERNMENT TO GO ON THE ENERGY QUESTION.   THEY HAVE PROVEN THAT POWER IN THEIR HANDS LEADS TO IRRESPONSIBLE AND SELFISH LAWS INFLICTED ON A PEOPLE WHO ONCE THRUSTED IN THE INTEGRITY OF OUR REPRESENTATIVES.

MY ANSWER TO THE QUESTION IS THIS:

1. CONGRESS SHOULD ENCOURAGE, AND INSPIRE THROUGH EXAMPLE.  RONALD REAGAN DID THIS AND I HAVE MORE RESPECT FOR HIM AND HIS LEADERSHIP STYLE THAN ANY LIVING POLITICIAN TODAY.

2. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE INTELLIGENT AND IMAGINATIVE ENOUGH TO COME UP WITH SAFE AND EFFECTIVE ENERGY OPTIONS THAN OUR GOVERNMENT GIVES US CREDIT FOR.  WE ARE NOT STUPID AND WE DO NOT LACK UNDERSTANDING.  WE ONLY NEED TO HAVE BIG GOVERNMENT STEP BACK AND LET US SOLVE OUR OWN PROBLEMS. 

3.  POWER IN THE HANDS OF SELF-CENTERED INDIVIDUALS WILL ALWAYS BE DOOMED TO FAILURE.  WE ARE WITNESS TO THIS TRUTH IN OUR GOVERNMENT TODAY.  WHEN WE HAVE HUMILITY BEHIND OUR IDEAS, WE ARE AUTOMATICALLY CONSIDERATE AND LOVING TOWARD OTHERS.  I BELIEVE THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS REALIZE OUR PERSONAL POWERLESSNESS AND UNDERSTAND THAT TOGETHER WE CAN SOLVE PROBLEMS, AND WHEN WE ASK FOR DIVINE ASSISTANCE THERE IS NO FAILURE! read more »

PRESIDENT, I REQUIRE JUST A FEW MOMENTS OF YOUR TIME.  iT WILL NOT TAKE ME LONG TO TELL YOU THAT I AM EXTREMELY UNHAPPY, ALONG WITH THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS, ABOUT THE IMPOSITION OF TAXES THAT WILL ECONOMICALLY DESTROY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!  I HAVE SUSPECTED FOR SOME TIME THAT THIS IS THE GOAL YOU HAVE IN YOUR POLICIES. 

 MORALITY AND FAMILY ARE UNDERMINED, YES, EVEN SABOTAGED BY FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REGULATION.  LAWS ARE PASSED AND EVEN PROTECTION OF THE INTERNET HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY BY YOU, PREVENTING THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS FROM EXPRESSING THEIR VIEWS FREELY.  AS USUAL, CONTROL IS USED AND ABUSE OF POWER EXERCISED, WE ARE IGNORED, WE ARE PENALIZED FOR OUR BELIEFS AND OUR PROTESTS FALL UPON DEAF EARS!!  YES, MR. PRESIDENT, I AM CALLING YOU DEAF AND UNRESPONSIVE TO THE PEOPLE YOU REPRESENT--THE MAJORITY HAS MADE IT CLEAR THAT WE ARE UNHAPPY WITH YOUR CHOICES, YET YOU PERSIST, AND TRY TO CONVINCE ME AND EVERY OTHER PATRIOTIC AMERICAN THAT WE JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND.  I CAN READ.  MY READING COMPREHENSION IS WELL ABOVE AVERAGE AND I APPRECIATE TRUTH AND HONOR. 

YOU HAVE PUSHED AMERICA TO THE BRINK OF UPRISE.  YOU DO NOT REPRESENT US, YOUR SPENDING HAS NOT HELPED A SINGLE PERSON OUTSIDE OF CONGRESS AND I AM DISMAYED THAT I AM BEING REPRESENTED BY A BUNCH OF DISHONORABLE, SELF-SERVING HYPOCRITES WHO EXPECT ME TO SACRIFICE IN ORDER THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO SPEND IRRESPONSIBLY.   read more »

Today's lesson, boys and girls in Congress, will begin with a story and end with a proposition!  Get out your notebooks and start writing!

Winds of change are a'blowin'!!  It's like somebody exclaimed out loud"--wait a minute!  This isn't right!  This isn't working!"  We stepped back and took a good, long, studying look.

 The crowd began to stir. 

"What is that guy DOING?

"That's MY hard-earned money you're partying with, boys!"

"Are you saying I should unselfishly consent to die while you abscond with everything I earned in honest wages?"

Yep!  Listen to that wind!  We worked hard.  We learned our work ethics from honest, respectable parents and grandparents.  We believed in our country.  We trusted a man was true to his word, just because we knew that if we expected respect, we had to behave accordingly.  When did it become a game, an irresponsible pasttime, to get away with as much as one dared to push the limits of self-respect to, with selfish whims?

We were impressed less with the plain, ordinary, hard working man, and overly awed by the rakish, boy rebel, glamorized on screen. 

We admired him, and didn't we get our FILL of his kind?!!  Our heroes were still heroes as scoundrels--"boys will be boys" was our favorite  phrase of pardon for outrageous indignities.  Even some girls joined in on the careless wantonnesses of the age.  And nothing could make the kids happy again!! read more »

The health care bill should be on the debate floor, however, propriety has been amended once again by the administration!  There will be no dabate, only a push [will strong-arm tactics be next?] to get the bill passed into law, regardless of cost monitarily or morally. 

I respect the greatest majority of the medical profession and today looked up the Hippocratic Oath out of curiosity, to see for myself of what a Doctor's oath actually consists!  Look it up, folks...what an honorable profession medicine was meant to be.  I believe most who practice medicine go into their profession to help ease the suffering of others.  If not, the shame of dishonorable intention will be addressed by Divine Law! The honorable professional, whether it be a doctor or a laborer has a code of ethics he or she follows.  Without ethics, no honor can honestly be achieved. read more »

Christ got so angry at the moneychangers in the Temple that He made a whip, started swinging and shouting and cleared the place in His anger.  His Father's House was [and remains today] a place for worship.  Jesus Christ--no cautious, "politically correct" language or fear of making enemies from Him--no, sir   He spoke the truth! 

When those who profess to represent the Church--ANY Christian Church misrepresent Christ's Father or The Holy Spirit publicly in order to gain personal benefit, whether personal favor or monetary gain, the consequences are guaranteed--Christ Himself said this!  His warnings to those who mislead were and still are clear!   I sometimes wonder if those who, with surprising ease, speak as representatives of their Church read and understand the words our Savior spoke.  Do they listen and compare what they hear with Christ's clear and unmistakable directives before repeating publicly as representative of their Church in the authority of leadership the drivel of unGodly powerlust?

I, for one, am tired of being misrepresented by politicians who live so far from the simple truths of Christianity explaining my Church's "true" views.  They are NOT explaining my Church's views, or ANY Christ-follower's views, but are instead lying (bearing false witness) in order to achieve their personal goals!  Their personal goals, I fear, are no more honorable or Christ-endearing than the misrepresentations they perpetrate on His Church. read more »

President Obama seems to have a propensity for finding counterfeit Catholics!  We often hear claims from these allies of his, that they represent the majority of American Catholics....what churches are THEY attending?  My Church does not support abortion or euthanasia or injustice of ANY kind!  Every Church is made up of individuals.  Some "get it" while others do not!  But to speak publicly in misleading and slanderous claims, in an effort to excuse such abhorent behavior, as are these "representatives" exhibiting,  is unthinkable in its profanity!  As an informed and firm Catholic, I stand fast in my beliefs.  Jesus Christ is Lord.  Barach Obama, and EVERY elected or appointed representative of the American people, you are SERVANTS to those you represent, not to your own selfiish desires or ambitions!  I am standing up to be counted as a Catholic woman who puts Jesus Christ first in her life, as do MOST of my Catholic friends!  Lies will be the doom of our representatives in Congress, and lies will be the eternal doom of those who misrepresent the followers of Jesus Christ, the Lord! 

I just finished reading Dr. John Goodman's blog on the health care package we received as our president's Christmas gift!  How thoughtful!! ( Yes, YES, I AM being factitious!)  Does the govenrnment now plan on telling me what I need or do not need in my health-care provisions?  How about diabetics--will insulin come under the government's control?  And asthmatics--will emergency treatment be denied them?  What about people with cancer--who will live and who will not be seen fit for living?  The decision will be made by the government! [Isn't THAT special!!!] So medications for heart disease, blood pressure and a myriad of ailments--any and EVERY ailment will be under the jurisdiction of a government that cannot even budget responsibly!  We can be sure they will use the same ethics they use our tax dollars with when they dispense health care dollars--$100 for each of them,$.01 for you, $1,000 for each of them, $.001 for you--ad nauseum!  Don't even BOTHER to ask if they truthfully CARE!!!

Bart Stupak is no pro-life sissy.  He has not caved in to the self-indulgent attitude of the majority of our "representatives in D.C."  My message to you, Congressman Stupak, "Thank you!  I thank the Lord our God for you, a man unafraid to speak the truth and a true representative of the majority of Americans."

To my friends and family, please notify your representatives and let them know that they will lose the jobs they are using to stuff their pockets in return for their self-service!  And when voting time comes for your elected officials, remember who voted what and vote for authentic representation in your state election.  We must give the message that those who do not represent us in truth will join the ranks of the unemployed!
