Last Roar of the Lion

The Lion of the Senate was lionized by worshipers, politicians, the legal profession and the media after his roar was silenced on August 25th. Everyone expected this as Ted Kennedy had been in a fierce battle with a brain tumor which he fought valiantly. And this writer waited until a respectable time of mourning had taken place before making a comment.

Every life is valuable to God and there were some solid accomplishments during Ted's lifetime. One which especially stands out is the "Americans with Disabilities" act which, through his work, was made into law in 1990.

The funeral service was spectacular and well organized in the beautiful Catholic Church in Boston even though Kennedy, in his public and personal life, violated almost every tenet of the catholic faith.  And this lack of respect for the church continued on by his family in the funeral service itself.

The Truth of Global Warming; Are We Doomed For Man's Inaction?

The Bible makes it clear that we humans are to tend the garden as he instructed Adam and Eve. We must take care of the Earth we occupy. Man has been so lax, so careless, that we are now in danger of making the earth uninhabitable.

It all started with the Industrial Revolution. When the first factories were built in Germany, they were built next to the pristine rivers so that waste from those factories could be dumped directly in those rivers, providing great convenience for the factory barons. What could they expect? Certainly not that the waters would remain pure and healthy. That was not their focus or even concern.

First GodTV in San Francisco--Now This!

(8/23/09). Oakley, California.  God TV became the eye in the sky over The City By The Bay, by launching their San Francisco Christian TV Studio that will be a part of the world wide ministry. It opened with a full weekend of activities with a TV unit broadcasting from the high profile City Hall Plaza. The many Christians in the Bay Area are rejoicing. Too often they have been made to feel like strangers in their home city.

Right on its heels, the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) launched an office in the Bay Area, which will serve the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The office is located in downtown Oakland, ten minutes from San Francisco and....Berkeley.

Not Over the Rainbow, but IN It! - Updated

Wrapping itself in the rainbow flag, The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) yesterday voted in a measure to allow practicing homosexuals and those with same sex partners to be ordained as Lutheran priests.

The measure won by 54% of its 4.2 million church members. According to Christian Post, 46% of that body approved of the church clergy performng same-sex "marriages."

The new Mission Statement of the church, presented at the convention in Minneapolis, was named, "Human Sexuality; Gift and Trust." It was passed by a vote of 676-338 by the delegates, barely fulfilling the two-thirds vote requirement.

Obama Begins Work to Repeal DOMA

Word came out yesterday that the Obama Administration has filed court papers declaring that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) discriminates against homosexuals.

As reported by Concerned Women for America, a Department of Justice official, Tracy Schmaier, called the DOMA "discriminatory" because it "prevents equal rights and benefits."

Of course. How dare they say that marriage is only between a man and a woman? If a man and a woman can do something, then by golly two men or two women have the right to call their confumacious coupling the same thing, have it recognized as marriage and be awarded the exact same benefits of all married couples.

Nope, you can't exclude anybody from anything. If a boy wants to play Alice in Wonderland, he should have that right. Boys have the right to be a prom queen if they so desire or anything else that anybody else does. And people should be able to use any bathroom that they like. That is the only way to have a just society.

Senator Boxer's Book Signing Event Stirs Crowds

Now-a-days even a book signing appearance can become a political protest event. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif ) found that out on Friday,August 14th, when she came to Danville, California, a wealthy area, to promote her novel, "Blind Trust."

Scores of people did come to Rakestraw Books, but not to have her autograph her politcal tome. Over one hundred people showed up with picket signs, filling the sidewalk in front of the store, chanting such slogans as, "Yo Ho Ho...Boxer Must Go!" Others shouted, "Save our freedoms." Only a small handful of Boxer supporters picketed to no effect.

AARP Denies Endorsing Obama's Heathkill Bill

Because they have millions of members, the AARP is a major source of funding for the liberal agenda to restructure America into a socialist Marxist country. That funding comes through the membership dues and products purchased by misled senior citizens. A great portion of those funds are being used to push through Obama's** Healthkill Bill that would not only be disastrous to seniors, but also result in their premature deaths. Now AARP DENIES that they back (or ever backed) the socialized medicine bill. Lots of pants on fire at AARP Corporate Offices.

The Silence of The Lame--AARP

Oakley, California - The powerful AARP purports to be an organization that assists senior citizens and represents their interests in Washington, D.C. when bills are proposed that affect them. However, this premise is built on sand shifting in the liberal tides.

In reality, the AARP is a front for the democrat/socialist agenda to undermine America. The millions of seniors who are members fund these plans with their dues money. A major part of that is the socialist health plan which would restrict medical treatment of seniors and withhold life saving procedures for those elders who are considered a drain on society and who are no longer useful to the Party.

Why has AARP failed to make a statement opposing this since they are presumed to protect seniors who will, with this plan, be harmed and face premature death?
