PA Marriage Amendment

I have e-mailed all of the government and state senators and represenatives (via PA. for Marriage web site) asking them to protect marriage between a husband and a wife . I received one personal response from Daylin Leach (PA. State Represenative) as follows:

Thank you for your E-mail. Unfortunately, we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I believe that we should do for gay couples what we do for straight couples, namely encourage them to enter permanent, stable, monogamous and legally-recognized relationships. It is only by allowing gay and lesbian couples full and equal marriage rights will we begin to erase the stain of discrimination they have lived under. Thank you again for taking the time to E-mail me.... Daylin

Here are my thoughts: Wait a minute doesn't this guy work for me? Does'nt he care what his constituents are thinking? We need all Pennsylvanians to go to this website and send emails, we need to have a much stronger voice! For those of you outside of PA. please contact your elected officials and make your voice heard also.

The word says that when a man is with a man or a woman with a woman it is an abomination. There is only one problem that we face when we attempt to point out that it is a sin. We end up looking more like those who crucified Jesus, than those who desire to do what Jesus would do. Yes, there are many wrongs in this world, and there are behaviors that are against God. However, those who label themselves as Christians should desire what Jesus desired. I don't write this to point out the wrong. Rather I desire to point out the path we are traveling. Hate is often what people see or hear when we as believers protest or argue an injustice.

We must remember when Jesus was brought the woman who was caught in adultery he just wrote in the sand. When they pushed him to persecute her he told them to remember that they too were sinners. Remember hearts filled with anger are closed to the love Jesus has for them.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We are sinners too and need just as much forgiveness as thoes we fight. Jesus did not come to free the isrealites physicaly. He came to set all men free spiritually. We should desire for people to know that love that surpasses all understanding. This doesn't mean that they are any less a sinner. It only means that we walk knowing that we to have need for the same love, that those outside of the body have yet to experience. Don't be a flash light , be a sun or son that reflects the love so shined on us.

Yes I agree And only through the power of prayer can any of our sins be forgiving and our lifestyles changed through "THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST"

Since marriage is now recognized by the government, and the government is required to be secular, then you can't impose religious reasons for keeping marriage a certain way (e.g. only for heterosexuals).

You can refuse to DO marriages for homosexuals, but you can't make the government do something you want it to do, since it has to be unbiased and fair for everyone.

Therefore, fighting homosexual marriage within the government will get you nowhere.

As a christian I have I do not understand how another persons marriage Affects mine.

Elizabeth Taylor's marriages has not affected my marriage.

Britney spears' marriages have not affected mine.

I fail to see how anyones marriage affects mine.

I am also not a big fan of the state telling churches what is proper for church members to do. My church doesn't marry those of the same gender to each other. But I find it hard to suggest that the government should tell my neighboring church what to do in theirs.

how long would that road go and where would it end up.

no thank you I am unwilling to allow the government to run matters of the church.
