One of the "Corrupt Media 6" Admits its Gross Campaign Bias for Obama

One can argue that one member of the "Corrupt Media 6" ("New York Times," NBC, CBS, "Time," "Newsweek" and "Washington Post") should not be on the list or another one such as the "Los Angeles Times" should be on the list.  However, these six  media outlets would definitely be on most conservatives' list of bad guys or media members who should be on a list of thoroughly dishonest "Corrupt Media 6" resulting from the media campaign coverage of 2008.

For some months now, during the general election, Sean Hannity, the Fox News co-host of "Hannity and Colmes" has told his television and radio audiences that the year 2008 was the year journalism died in America.  Hardly anyone alive can recall a presidential election when the liberal "Old Media" (i.e. the "Corrupt Media 6" and others) were in love with a Democrat candidate to the extent that they were with Barack Obama during the past two years.

And now we have the proof.  One week after the election  --  should we say a couple months too late  --  "The Washington Post's" ombudsman, Deborah Howell, offered evidence in the paper's Sunday edition that her paper did indeed have an "Obama tilt."  Of course, what she gives as evidence of the liberal bias toward Obama by "The Washington Post" is the mother of all understatements.

She said in Sunday's edition of "The Washington Post," "Readers have been consistently critical of the lack of probing issues coverage and what they saw as a tilt toward Democrat Barack Obama. My surveys, which ended on Election Day, show that they are right on both counts."

One of the left-wing media's top critics, Ed Morrissey of "Hot Air" quoted in Monday's "The Washington Times" said:  "Now Howell gives the mea culpa in her first column after Election Day, when it's far too late to do anything about it. Where was Howell during the last three months? Why wait until the election is over to speak up? That's an answer in itself."   And one of the top pundits at the "National Review," Byron York says:  "Now she tells us."

Messrs. Morrissey and York know what most Americans know  --  and the reason the "New York Times," NBC, CBS, "Time" and "Newsweek" magazines and "The Washington Post"  have lost countless readers and viewers since their left-wing bias has been exposed and engrained in the minds of the American people  --  from 70% to 90% (depending on which survey) of the writers and columnists and anchors and on-the-air reporters are of the liberal persuasion and thus their programming, reporting, and editing reflect these left-wing biases.

Indeed, the "Washington Times" reported that "A Pew Research Center survey released in late October found, for example, that 70 percent of voters agreed that the press wanted Mr. Obama to win the White House; the figure was 62 percent even among Democratic respondents. The same analysis found a Democrat-friendly press dating back to the 1992 presidential election.  A current Harvard University analysis revealed that 77 percent of Americans say the press in politically biased; of that group, 5 percent said it skewed conservative."

Until the "Old Media" wakes up and smells the coffee and realizes its extreme left-wing biases, it will continue to lose viewership and readership by the millions.
