Most Americans with commonsense will agree that the Obama administration has shown almost unprecedented incompetence during its first 2 months in office. The question some are beginning to raise is is this administration now beginning to enter a new phase; that of corruption?

Yesterday's "The Washington Times" published a lead editorial entitled: "ACORN to count heads for Census." The Obama administration was obviously incompetent when it announced in a highly politicized decision -- instigated by Obama's chief of staff, Rahm Emmanuel, who was one of the Congress' most notorious political operatives -- that the 2010 census was going to be run in Obama's White House. "The Washington Times" reported in its editorial that after the administration backed down from that decision (after huge pressure from the American people,) "it clearly hasn't learned its lesson."

The editorial goes on to say: "Now it is having ACORN officially 'partner' with the Census to help count the number of Americans in the country. It's like Santa trusting a child to tell him how many times he or she has been good in the past year. We could write a book on the false voter registrations submitted by ACORN. There are bizarre stories, such as the one from Cleveland, where ACORN employees reregistered the same individual 77 times, even though the individual kept on telling the ACORN workers that he was already registered. But ACORN's people kept offering to bribe him with cigarettes or money to get him to fill out another form. Similar examples from across the United States are too numerous to count."

The incompetence of the Obama administration has already been proven in many ways including allowing numerous tax cheats such as Obama's Treasury Secretary to be a part of his administration; Obama's allowing countless exceptions to his campaign promise that lobbyists would not be a part of his administration (his Deputy Secretary of Defense lobbied for a defense contracting firm); and his promise not to allow "earmarks" (pork projects) in spending bills. Yet, the Obama stimulus bill (costing taxpayers 1 trillion dollars with interest) and the Obama Omnibus bill (costing Americans another 1/2 trillion dollars with interest) had over 9,000 pork projects.

In yesterday's front page story in the "Times," entitled "Aides attempt to shield Obama from controversy," it reports that Vice President Joseph Biden was the latest administration official to offer "the president-didn't-know defense, suggesting to a Minnesota audience that Mr. Obama was 'unaware' of the veterans plan (to force veterans to use their private insurance for treatments) until the president floated it to veterans groups leaders this past Monday and stirred a major controversy." Talk about incompetence!

The "Times" editorial said about the thoroughly corrupt move by the Obama White House to allow an equally corrupt ACORN organization to count Americans next year in the Census: "What is at stake from an accurate census is huge. The allocation of seats in Congress, and ultimately questions of who controls it, depend on an accurate count. Much of the money Congress spends is allocated based on the census. Requiring that the census be non-partisan is the first requirement that must be met."

Barack Obama's ties with the highly corrupt ACORN organization have been extensive over the years, a fact almost entirely unreported by the liberal mainstream news media. Last year, the Obama campaign, according to the "Times," paid ACORN $800,000 to register voters and do other work. Obama, when serving on the board of the Woods Fund in Chicago, gave ACORN money. "Investor's Business Daily" has called Barack Obama "ACORN's Senator." And the Obama administration got up to $2 billion of taxpayer funding in Obama's first 60 days for organizations such as ACORN.

Barack Obama, instead of fulfilling his pledge to have the most ethical administration in history, is quickly emulating such failed presidencies as the almost impeached Richard Nixon's and the only impeached elected president Bill Clinton's.
