LOUISIANA CHRISTIAN COALITION COMMENDS PASTORS AND URGES GOVERNOR JINDAL TO CLEARLY DEFINE HIS POSITION ON GAMBLING
Mandeville, LA - John Hogue, state director of The Louisiana Christian Coalition, issued the following statement today:
"The Louisiana Christian Coalition would like to commend Citizens for Quality of Life and in particular the pastors of St. Tammany Parish for taking a stand against the proposed casino. Regardless of the resolution of this matter in St. Tammany Parish, the expansion of gambling in Louisiana and the nation will continue to be an important issue that must be addressed. The Louisiana Christian Coalition calls upon Governor Jindal to clearly outline his position on the expansion of gambling. Having spoken in churches all across the state and portrayed himself as the champion of family values, Governor Jindal should not hesitate to take a stand on this issue."
