I am a middle aged woman who fought hard for the ERA. Yet I find myself very offended at John McCain's selection of his running mate. I feel he has USED a woman to get the women's vote because he believes women are so desperate for a woman to be in office that it is the only way he can win the election. We women aren't stupid!! We DO know how to make up our own minds based on the information we are not just given, but seek. I applaude Gov. Palin for not getting an abortion. But how can anyone say she is pro family when she appears so ready and anxious to abandon a child who needs his mother so clearly to galavant not only across our nation, but the world? read more »
