Obama to allow abortion pill for girls as young as seventeen

In yet another political move by the most partisan administration in American history  --  which ironically is headed by a president who promised in last year's campaign that he would be "an uniter, not a divider"  --  the Obama administration is now allowing the abortion pill to be available to girls as young as age 17.

Today's "The Washington Times" reported that Obama's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced yesterday that the so-called "morning-after" birth-control pill, which is also called the abortion pill, will now be available to teenage girls as young as 17 without a prescription.  The FDA said that it would not appeal a federal court order which overturned President George W. Bush's policy of not providing such drugs to girls as young as 17.

Incredibly, federal judge Edward Korman, last month accused the Bush administration in his decision of allowing politics, not science, to influence the administration's decision not to allow 17 year-old girls from getting the "morning after" pill.  Ironically, Barack Obama is allowing the billion dollar abortion industry and its supporters to drive his decision to allow 17 year-old girls to buy such abortifacient pills without a doctor's prescription (and of course without the knowledge of their parents.)

Oprah and Michael Fox shocked by Dr. Oz's truth

Michael Fox sat as a guest on Oprah's show in stunned silence! Oprah was pretty shocked also. What caused their astonishment was some truth-telling by Oprah's other guest, a popular physician named Dr. Mehemet Oz. Indeed, Dr. Oz, a regular guest on Oprah's show, is so popular with Oprah that she has called him "America's Doctor." Dr. Oz is a cardiovascular surgeon at Columbia University.

Earlier this month, Dr. Oz, appeared on the Oprah Show and explained to Oprah and her other guest, Michael Fox -- the premier promoter of human embryonic stem cell research because of his Parkinson's disease -- that human embryonic stem cells are not the solution to the cure for Fox's Parkinson's disease or other diseases. Indeed, he warned them -- and a lot of Americans who are so enamored with this immoral research -- that these human embryonic stem cells multiply at such a rapid pace, they cannot be controlled.

Injecting such cells into mice have caused life-ending cancerous tumors. Dr. Oz warned Michael Fox that that would also happen if such human embryonic stem cells were injected into him.

Billions of dollars, much of it provided by taxpayers, have been wasted on this highly controversial research already. Indeed, the state legislature of California, with the signature of the governor, appropriated a whopping $3 billion of tax dollars for useless human embryonic stem cell research.

Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass would be proud

Congressman Trent Franks, a Republican from Arizona, has introduced a bill which would make the pro-life feminist icon, Susan B. Anthony, and the black American hero, Frederick Douglass, very proud. The Franks bill, when signed into law, will prohibit the practice of, or solicitation or acceptance of funds for, race-or sex-selection abortion. Appropriately enough, the congressman has named his bill, H.R. 1822, the "Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act of 2009."

In Monday's "The Washington Times," Congressman Franks points out that in America, according to a recent U.S. census, abortion clinics are "engaged in an insidious form of racial and sex-based discrimination." A Harvard University economist has estimated that more than 100 million women were "demographically missing" from the world because of widespread and underreported practices of prenatal sex selection.

This practice of aborting girls, including in America, is flourishing even though an astounding 86% of the American people support legislation which will prohibit abortion based on sex selection.

Congressman Franks, in his "Washington Times" column, condemns as equally repulsive, the widespread practice of aborting black babies in America. Indeed, an astounding 50% of black babies are killed before they have a chance of entering this world. One of out every two black babies are aborted in America today! Unborn black babies are five times more likely to be killed than unborn white babies.

White House won't comment on opinions about the Pope

The White House declined to comment this week on whether or not President Obama agrees with his recent appointee who said the Pope is a "discredited leader".

The man in question is Harry Knox, Obama's appointee to the White House Advisory Council of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, a government body that was started by former President Bush.  Knox currently serves as Director of the Faith and Religion program at the Human Rights Campaign, which is a homosexual rights advocacy group.

Knox is also the same guy who stated in a 2004 debate the St. Paul's letter to the Romans was "not true".

The fact that the President nominated Knox in the first place, to say nothing of the fact that he hasn't sacked him after these comments, says something about his level of concern over offending America's Christians.  And it's even more of an insult when you consider that Knox is Obama's appointee to the Faith Based Council in the White House...not some low level functionary in the bureaucracy.

Obama administration putting any veterans on the terrorist watch list is a disgrace

Most of us Vietnam war veterans, and many other Americans, are appalled at Barack Obama's Department of Homeland Security (DHS) putting out a so-called terrorist "watch list" this week which includes pro-lifers -- the natural enemy of such a radical pro-abortion administration -- but equally as bad, includes American veterans.

Yet, this is an administration which is headed by an individual who began his political career in the home of his friend, Bill Ayers, an unrepetent terrorist, whose associates committed murder against innocent Americans as part of their left-wing anti-America and anti-war activities.

Those of us who are also members of the American Legion, almost 3 million strong, are encouraged that the leaders of the American Legion are demanding a meeting with Obama's head of the DHS, Janet Napolitano, who was an extreme left-wing governor before selected as Obama's "security" chief.

On today's front page of 'The Washington Times," the national commander of the American Legion, David K. Rehbein, was quoted as saying: "I think that it is important for all of us to remember that Americans are not the enemy. The terrorists are." He blasted Napolitano's new "security" assessment report entitled: "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Polticial Climate Fueling Resurgence and Recruitment."

Pro-Life Movement Gains Victory on House Floor

It has not been all doom and gloom for the pro-life movement since Barack Obama became president. First, Obama overturned President Ronald Reagan's Mexico City policy (maintained by both Presidents Bush) by executive order. The Mexico City policy requires that all non-governmental organizations (NGOs) which receive federal funding must not perform or promote abortion services, as a method of family planning, in other countries.

Then Obama began naming and installing radically pro-abortion supporters into his cabinet, and nominating last month, as his first U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals nominee, a pro-abortion judge. However, on March 18th, the pro-lfe movement won a 318-105 victory on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Republicans in the House offered a parliamentary procedure called a Motion to Recommit (MTR) on a Democrat bill, H.R. 1388, the so-called "The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act." The Republican MTR sets restrictions on what kinds of groups can participate in federal community service programs. If organizations provide abortions or promote abortions, or engage in lobbying activities, or engage in protesting or union organizing, etc., then they will be barred from being involved with the volunteerism program.

Say no, Treasury Secretary Geithner, to giving up on American dollar for a global currency

An upcoming young leader in the United States House of Representatives, second-term Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, a Republican from Minnesota, has introduced a bill which would ban global currency.

It is beyond comprehension that Barack Obama's Treasury Secretary actually left the option of ditching the American dollar as the anchor of the global monetary system and adopting a global currency.

The United Kingdom's "Telegraph" said that "US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner shocked global markets by revealing that Washington is 'quite open' to Chinese proposals for the gradual development of a global reserve currency run by the International Monetary Fund."

Obama's Treasury Secretary has now caused two mini-stock market crashes during Obama's presidency with his inappropriate remarks.  Undoubtedly, Geithner was trying to gain some favor with the radical internationalists at the Council of Foreign Relations during his appearance before them last week.

The "Telegraph" also reported that the dollar plunged instantly against the euro, yen, and sterling "as Geithner's comments flashed across trading screens all over the world. David Bloom, currency chief at HSBC, said the apparent policy shift amounts to an earthquake in geo-finance.  'The mere fact that the US Treasury Secretary is even entertaining thoughts that the dollar may cease being the anchor of the global monetary system has caused consternation,' he said."

Update From the Hawaii Christian Coalition - Great Victory For Traditional Marriage In Hawaii State Senate

A great victory for traditional marriage was won when the Senate failed to pull HB 444 by a vote of 18 to 6.  A total of 9 votes were needed to pull the bill.  Although it was believed that the bill had the votes needed to be pulled from committee, the overwhelming opposition led by the Christian Churches and community leaders gave God a great victory.

White, black, red, yellow people of all ethnicity rallied to oppose the bill.  Senators were innundated with opposition through phone calls, emails and office visits.  People also prayed and God answered their prayers.

Although the vast majority of the populace opposed HB444, Sen. Gary Hoosier stubbornly tried to have the bill pulled out of committee to support and legitimize homosexuality.  Five other Senators supported him.  They were Sens. Les Ihara, Carol Fukunaga, Suzanne Chun Oakland, Michelle Kidani and Rosalyn Baker.  Please remember their names in the upcoming elections in 2010.

The battle will continue to be fought as the gays and lesbians have stated they will continue the fight.  Although HB444 was not pulled out of committee, a surprising number of Democratic Senators and Representatives support the bill and legitimizing homosexuality in Hawaii.

The Hawaii Christian Calition will continue to be vigilant and start preparing to install God fearing candidates in the upcoming elections.

Bipartisan bill puts patients first

Democrat Congressman Daniel Lipinski and Republican Congressman J. Randy Forbes have joined together in an increasingly partisan Washington D.C. to sponsor "The Patients First Act," H.R. 877. Their bill will prioritize stem cell research toward treating and curing patients. The Forbes/Lipinski bill promotes research and human clinical trials using stem cells that show the most potential of providing clinical benefit and are ethically obtained.

Congressman Forbes referred to a chart showing the difference in benefits from adult stem cells in human patients versus the so-called benefits in embryonic stem cells from peer-reviewed studies. There have been ZERO benefits from the politically-correct human embryonic stem cell destruction research. On the other hand, there have been cures and successful treatments of an astounding 73 diseases using adult stem cells.

Adult stem cells have benefited human patients with brain cancer, ovarian cancer, skin cancer, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia, cancer of the lymph nodes, breast cancer, diabetes Type I (Juvenile), Crohn's Disease, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, chronic coronary artery disease, acute heart damage, Parkinson's Disease, spinal cord injury, stroke damage, sickle cell anemia, limb gangrene, jawbone replacement, skull bone repair, and many many more diseases.

Left-wing activist judge is Obama's first judicial pick

If there was any doubt that Barack Obama intends to turn the federal judiciary into a left-wing activist one, those doubts were put to rest in Obama's decision today to appoint as his first judicial nominee, David Frank Hamilton, a judicial activist judge hostile to Christianity and a radical on abortion. Hamilton was nominated to the 7th United States Circuit Court of Appeals.

In 1994, Bill Clinton nominated Hamilton to be a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and he was confirmed by the Senate by the Democrat-controlled Senate. Even the liberal American Bar Association gave Hamilton a "not qualified" rating at the time. And this is the guy who Obama chose for his first judicial nominee to the next highest court under the United States Supreme Court.

In an obvious, and successful, attempt to impress the next liberal Democrat president, Hamilton in 2005 ruled that the Indiana state legislature could not begin their sessions with Christian prayers. An appeals court overruled his judicial activist decision. Of course, the infamous ACLU had brought the lawsuit before Judge Hamilton, figuring he was an easy mark. Obama's first judicial nominee in his decision said that invocations must not use names such as Jesus Christ or Christian terminology such as savior. And by the way, Hamilton was a board member of the ACLU in Indiana.
