Suffering exists in Government Ran Health Care.

Does anybody really believe that a system ran by the Government would be free of suffering. That a nurse provided by the Government is going to be kinder and provide better comfort than a nurse selected by the one in need of a nurse.

I pray for those in need; My heart also goes out to those who have care provided by the Government and remain tragically more in need. I know that God is aware of every tear. My chest grows tight as I put this post together because I know these people matter to God and to somebody else.

I've been to both DMV and when possible alternative private businesses for services of registering a car. Although not broken by the my experiences with the DMV I can image those people running a hospital but in some cases I don't need to imagine.

An independent inquiry found that managers at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust stopped providing safe care because they were preoccupied with government targets and cutting costs. Patients were routinely neglected or left “sobbing and humiliated” by staff.

Should I go on?

The report, which follows reviews by the Care Quality Commission and the Department of Health, said that “unimaginable” suffering had been caused. Regulators said last year that between 400 and 1,200 more patients than expected may have died at the hospital from 2005 to 2008.

Keep your eyes on the bulls horns – Not the Health Care Summit

Cross posted on At The Water Cooler

Heritage has a good expose on the Health Care Nuclear Option, While everybody is watching the summit (Plan B) Obama, Reid and Pelosi have discussed another plan. I’ll call it Plan A

Health Care Nuclear Option – Liberals Ready to Launch

The Health Care Nuclear Option, also known as reconciliation, is being considered by liberal politicians to insure that Obamacare makes it to the President’s desk by Easter. According to The New York Times, the plan is to have the President submit reconciliation legislation to be posted on the internet this weekend. The legislation will be crafted in a manner so that it can be passed using special reconciliation procedures created solely to enact laws to reduce the deficit as part of the annual budget. The next step is for the President to conduct his half day bipartisan summit at the Blair House on February 25th. With that faux-bipartisan stunt over with, the President will be free to pass legislation in a partisan manner that tosses aside the regular rules of business in the Senate.

God Bless Bloggers and God Bless those who responded to the Call to Dunkirk

May 1940, British and allied troops are defeated surrounded and about to be destroyed on the beaches of Dunkirk. Suddenly a Miracle accrued thousands of pleasure yachts, fishing boats, life boats, merchant marines and other vessels maned by ordinary citizens came to Dunkirk and rescue those soldiers.

Quote from Newbusters ... Brent Bozell God Bless Bloggers

... Bozell addressed CPAC on Feb. 20 about the state of the media. He cited how bloggers played a role in unearthing the former White House "green jobs czar" Van Jones past for signing a statement about the September 11 truthers and for stating he was a communist.

"Van Jones was a story that was broken by a blogger," Bozell said. "Say that after me - God bless bloggers, God bless bloggers, God bless bloggers. Now this blogger writes a story about one of the Obama czars. Now these czars, these guys are dangerous for all sorts of reasons. They're not elected. They're not confirmed. And they're not even announced. You just hear about them. They're like maggots. You pick up a rock and you find a czar." ...

The media has relentlessly taken Obama positions and have gone far beyond what Obama would say calling those who with due-diligent thought racist, extremists, haters, crazies and worse.

Mount Vernon Statement – And other #Teaparty news

Some information cross posted at At The Water Cooler

Mount Vernon does not have press releases online so we must rely on more traditional media. CNSNews, reports top conservatives "will sign philosophical Declaration" of the war against Big Government. "resurgent conservative movement is declaring philosophical war against the big government and moral relativism advanced by the nation's liberal cultural, academic and political establishments."

My, My that is exactly the reason why people have taken to the streets in the Teaparty movement. Its name was chosen after the Boston Teaparty the reason's Big Government that is not listening to the people. Abortions funded by tax money, Government mandated anti-christian school indoctrination, Cap and Trade ... Government Tyranny.

Expect hypocrisy from the most of the main stream media; In the last week they have ran these headlines:

  • MSNBC Olbermann devotes 'special comment' to pressing activists to admit to bigotry
  • A Disgusting Media Lie - TPM Publishes Bogus Story Citing Texas Racist As Tea Party Leader
  • MSNBC's Ratigan: Tea Party Includes ‘Birthers,' ‘Open Racists,' and ‘Outright Nazis'

Most people do not have much experience with a conflict of interest. The closest they may come is if they have two jobs and let people know about the other job. There is no actual conflict about giving somebody information - the conflict would come from a customer at one location saying I'll buy the package you are suggesting but give me a special deal at the other company. Hence the companies have every right to tell you not to discuss the other company with people.

Now if one is an owner of a company and an officer at another company a conflict "could" be that he purchases products from his company for the other; "could" be, because the perception that he "could" charge a price higher than another company.

When one works in the government service this favoritism is also a potential problem. It is a matter of perception of Government corruption even if it actually is done fairly. People need to trust those in power there needs to be no perception of bias.

The "Code of Judicial Conduct for United States Judges." puts it this way:

Newsweek creates Anti Conservative Wedge Issue: TEA Party Convention Full of 9/11 Truthers

An Except of Newbusters report can be found in our Archive for Wedge Issues

Jonathan Kay who wrote the piece that smeared attendants as kooky, paranoid fringers who believe 9/11 truther theories. May have a problem with math and numbers. Yes some fellow Americans believe the Government had inside information on 9/11.

If you recall the Government sealed off the site from public inquiry. You don't need to be a prophet to know that people will speculate concerning information which can not be confirmed by a second source. Now one would suspect that these fellow Americans want an open and transparent Government.

One may say: Open Secrets is full of 9/11 Truthers.

Was Obama promise to Transparency pandering to the 9/11 truthers vote?

But here is a basic math test for Jonathan Kay - Is the number of 9/11 Truthers big great enough to elect a Republican to the senate in say Massachusetts?

Abstinence not popular (for young adults) but it is correct

Cross posted on At The Water Cooler.

I'm using "not popular" in the same way I would use listening to your parents as "not popular" ... which is not the same as say a poll where both parents and children participate. When you add parents and grandparents and those who are not callow - abstinence is popular.

A new study confirms abstinence education works:

""" Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) - A national Christian doctors organization is applauding a new study showing how abstinence education is more effective than either comprehensive sexual education or teaching only about contraception. They say the results coincide with polling data showing parents favor teaching their children abstinence.

Dr. David Stevens, the head of the 16,000-member Christian Medical Association, said he appreciated the new study, published in the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine.

Science has finally caught up with logic and what parents have known for centuries by empirically demonstrating that equipping teens to abstain from sexual activity is an effective way to prevent teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases," he said."""

In God Not the Dollar we trust

Cross posted from At-The-Water-Cooler

The love of money is a sin. Money is a tool for economic trade which can be used for both good and bad. If there was no currentry free people would exchange product - perhaps use a common commodity as money such as gold.

At the movie post there is a video Money as Debt which explains our current money supply and its current status as a promissory note or an instrument of debt. The information in the video is not new, but the problem with the dollar still remains. It needs to be understood by those who do not want to be caught in the collapse of the dollar.

Understanding the actual debt money creation, which is the dollar, is a game changer. One may, as they understand how our debt exceeds the total amount of money, have a change of heart about the dollar.

College prof: Obama Logo like a swastika - Correction a Christian Cross

Liberty Legal Institute.

... Officials at Eastfield College, a Dallas-area public college, are
banning crosses, menorahs and other religious items from their ceramics
classes. A ceramics instructor compared the cross to a swastika in
trying to explain why crosses were not permitted. When Eastfield
adopted a "no symbols" policy and applied it to only religious symbols,
including crosses, Joe Mitchell, a retired Dallas resident and student
at Eastfield, consulted with Liberty Legal Institute to put an end to
the religious discrimination.

"I felt humiliated and that my
spirituality was being demeaned," said Joe Mitchell, retired Dallas
resident and student at Eastfield College. "The whole point of art is
to express who you are." ...

Don’t neglect Christian shops during Black Friday

I’ve been active in the War on Christmas to keep vendors from
removing the word. I consider the issue important for many reasons;
I’ll just state one; missionaries overseas who are unable to talk
freely about Christianity are able to talk about the US. We can not
give anything to a God who already has everything, but we can give
charity to those in need. Christians believe in a loving God, charity
is one way we can return love.

Christian vendors do not need to have people question them about the word Christmas. It is freely used.

I’ve had the honor of working with a new Christian ministry http://www.signpostkids.com/
that is working to produce educational material for children. Material
that does not go against Christian principles … Yes they are using the
word Christmas for Black Friday specials.
