The House of Representatives, in the 111th Congress, led by the Democrat leadership, is one of the most partisan Congresses in U.S. history. They refuse to allow the minority to have an opportunity to add amendments to major pieces of legislation.

They are doing exactly this with regards to the Financial Services Appropriations bill to be debated on the floor of the House of Representatives on Thursday. The vote on this funding bill could be as early as Thursday afternoon or evening.

Christian Coalition of America is encouraging all of its supporters to immediately contact their Member of the House of Representatives to urge them to VOTE NO on the RULE on the Financial Services Appropriations Bill, H.R. 3170, UNTIL the Democrat House leadership reinstates the ban on the public funding of abortion (in the District of Columbia) and reinstates the ban of the implementation of the Fairness Doctrine (which will get rid of conservative talk show hosts).

Congressman Robert K. Dornan was able to get rid of public funding of abortion in the District of Columbia almost a couple decades ago, and abortions have not been funded with Americans' tax dollars since that time. The Democrats want to change that policy on Thursday on the House floor. The vote on the RULE must be defeated on Thursday!

To stop Americans from being forced to pay for these abortions, a bipartisan group of 179 Members sent a letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Appropriations Chairman David Obey and Rules Committee Chairwoman Louise Slaughter demanding an up or down vote on any pro-life provisions in the bill. They were refused a vote by the Democrat leadership.

There are some 2,000 conservative talk show hosts, mostly local and regional talk show hosts. If the Fairness Doctrine is reinstated, this number could go as low as 200 or so which was the case when America last had a so-called "Fairness Doctrine" in force. Radio station owners will just eliminate these talk show hosts because they do not want to be bothered with new regulations or with hiring lawyers to help them abide by these new "Fairness Doctrine" rules and regulations. The vote on the RULE must be defeated on Thursday!
