Defend Traditional Marriage!

The attacks on traditional marriage by our government continue.

The Obama administration has announced that it will endorse a United Nations resolution that will affirm the “principle of non-discrimination” against homosexuals.  This resolution (opposed by the Bush administration) extends not only to “sexual orientation”, but to “gender identity” and could interfere with state laws against gay marriage and the federal ban on homosexuals in the military.

Just this week, legislatures in Vermont and New Hampshire both began to move legislation to make homosexual “marriage” the law in those states.  The Vermont Senate passed the bill and it may well pass the House.  Only the Vermont Governor may stand between traditional marriage and a radical re-definition of the most fundamental institution in society.

And yesterday US Senator Chuck Schumer (NY) announced he has changed his position and is now in favor of full “gay marriage”.  Further, he supports overturning the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, a federal law which defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Pro-family Americans must let their elected officials know how we feel about this issue!
