Christian Coalition Urges an Immediate Vote on "Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act" Which Passed U.S. House by 389-38 Last April

Washington, D.C. -- Christian Coalition of America urges the Senate leadership -- on the day of the Senate Commerce Committee hearings on indecency on television, radio and the Internet -- to finally bring to the Senate floor for a vote the "Broadcast Decency Enforcement Act" which passed overwhelmingly by the U.S. House of Representatives by a margin of 389-38 last April. There is no excuse for a delay in the Senate floor vote now that the hearings have been completed.

Day 3: Senate Bullies Disgrace Themselves with Attack-dog Assault on Judge Alito and Family - Day 4: Tails Between Legs

Washington, D.C. -- The unjustified attacks by left-wing Senate bullies at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing for President George W. Bush's nominee to the Supreme Court, Judge Samuel A. Alito on Wednesday -- which caused his wife to leave the hearing room in tears -- were clearly out of bounds and devoid of any decency whatsoever. These attacks by left-wing Senators are a continuation of what these attack dogs and their predecessors began during the Robert Bork hearings in the mid-1980's, during the Clarence Thomas hearings in the early 1990's and continuing during the hearings of President Bush's Circuit Court of Appeals nominees such as Judge Janice Rogers Brown, a black American success story.

Day 2: Ted Kennedy, et al still haven't laid a glove on him

Washington, D.C. -- Judge Samuel A. Alito, President Bush's nominee to be the next Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court won hands down in his battle -- in day two of Senate hearings -- against the left-wingers on the Senate Judiciary Committee led by the liberal lion Ted Kennedy. Senator Kennedy didn't lay a glove on Judge Alito even after today's extremely insulting personal attack on the judge. Senators Leahy, Kennedy, Biden, Feinstein, Schumer, and Durbin did their best to force Judge Alito into retracting his positions on abortion, on the infallibility on the U.S. Constitution, on the separation of powers.

Washington, D.C. -- Christian Coalition will be represented at today's hearing of the Senate Judiciary Committee debating the nomination of Judge Samuel A. Alito to become Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. The president of Christian Coalition of America, Roberta Combs said, "A majority of the American people believes that Judge Samuel Alito should be confirmed to the United States Supreme Court. They are tired of federal judges legislating from the bench. Supreme Court justices are there only to interpret the United States Constitution and the laws made by the legislature, and finally to decide cases."
